Sometimes hitch is also a channel to meet “old Friend”

Old Friend

I was having a bad headache at work. So wanting to go home and I didn’t want to trouble others. I checked the grab app & clicked on Grabhitch as it is way cheaper than taxi or normal grab. I waited for a few minutes and I got a hitch! Driver - CC (pic looks decent and should be a family man since pic is with his family).He messaged me to confirm the hitch. I replied ok.

I proceeded to the lobby and saw his car parked. I waved to him and wanted to walk over but he signalled to me that he will drive over to where I was standing. To my surprise he got down his car and opened the door for me! “Woah!! Such a gentleman, certainly a good Husband! - my inner thoughts. I was elated but kinda embarrassed as others were staring at us. As the slit of my skirt was high, I did my best to ensure that I wasn’t exposed unnecessarily.

In his car:

CC: “hi yy, you look familiar”

Me: “hi..I don’t think I know you” ( I thought it was a cliche pick up Line)

CC: “R u XY’s sis”

Me: “Yah! How did we met?”

CC: “FB!”

Me: “what?!” I exclaimed cos i was thinking of ‘fuck buddy’ I don’t fuck around. It must be my headache..

CC: “Facebook! Saw ur bro’s postings on ur family pics and I used to go to ur place to play mahjong”

Me: “Ohhhh! No recollection right now”

CC: “It is ok, I’m just an Uncle now”

My bro is 35 years old, CC should be around that age too. He still looks boyish & I kinda like guys with spects- make them appear to be more intellect lol

While chatting, half way through our journey home,he exclaimed that he forgot to pick up his son. OMG! How can this happen? This guy is so forgetful!

Me: “I’m ok if you go back and pick up your son” even though I’m not feeling well

CC: “ I feel bad to waste your time, it is ok I will call the school that I will be late, I will send you home first”

I was like… shouldn’t you be more concerned about your son. I insisted him to re-route to pick up his son and I will alight and get my own transport home. CC was very apologetic about it and he cancelled the hitch and didn’t charge me.

What a day for me! Good thing I managed to get a cab home as I alighted at a mrt station drop off. CC sent me his apology text and wanted to make up for another hitch, I told him it is alright. I hope I don’t meet him again even though he is my bro’s fren & saw me through my growing up years.

After taking a rest,I decided to arrange my transport for the next morning using hitch later in the night. I got a text and it was from CC, he said he saw my request and can give me a ride to work. I was skeptical lol but I didn’t reject him since he caused some inconvenience to me.

In the morning, I wasn’t very excited to meet CC again as I do not know what impromptu thing may happen again. I was early and noticed that there was another passenger beside him. I got on the rear seat and was informed that the lady beside him is his wife, she will alight first and he will send me to my office.

Me: “CC how was your son? Hope he is ok with the wait!”

Before CC can respond, his wife replied in a sarcastic tone“ now I know why you are late, u must have rushed off to pick her then u forgot about our Son!”

OMG! I was like… the tone of his wife wasn’t good.

CC: “ no lah, is my own fault don’t blame it on others”

Thereafter it was awkward silence in the car. His wife alighted and slammed the door.

CC: “sorry about it”

Me: “is ok, hope your wife will calm down”

CC: “ it is still early, do u want to catch up during breakfast?”

Me: “ok! Your treat?”

CC: “ sure! Also not charging you for the ride as a compensation.”

Me: “wow thanks! I shall graciously accept it haha!”

CC: “Milo peng?”

Me: “Wah, how u know?”

He turned back and gave me his sunshine smile lol.

Me: “ focus on the road please!” ( don’t tell me he stalks me)

CC parked his car and we went to fun toast for our breakfast. That day I had a craving for kaya toast hehe. We had a short chat and it turned out that their marriage is on the rocks. They are holding on due to their child….
