Like so many pervy crazes, this latest one is reported to have begun in Japan, before spreading to China like spilt milk over a kitchen floor.

CHONGQING, CHINA — Two Chinese airline passengers got an unexpected Valentine’s Day surprise when their flight from Chongqing to Hangzhou was cancelled.
With thousands of passengers stranded due to snowstorms, Hainan Airlines booked the two women into a kinky love hotel after their flight was grounded by bad weather late on Feb. 14, according to the Shanghaiist, citing news portal Sina.

CHINA — A Chinese startup raised $770 thousand USD for an app that is being called the “Uber for Escorts.”
Hangzhou Ouch Technology Ltd.’s app 杭州哎呦科技有限公司/来租我, loosely translated to “Come Rent Me,” offers people a chance to connect by renting each other’s time. An angel investor has contributed 5 million RMB (about $770 thousand USD) to fund the app.
Like Tinder or the Chinese social media app Momo, Come Rent Me connects its users through the app’s WeChat function. People can meet and rent themselves to strangers and vice versa to do things like go to the movies, go jogging, grab dinner, explore ancient towns or whatever their hearts desire. The difference with Come Rent Me is everything you do is paid on an hourly basis and varies from 1 to 200 RMB per hour (about $0.15 to $30.70 USD).
When a user on Come Rent Me wants to rent someone, they pay upfront for the number of hours they want to rent. The user will then receive a text with the WeChat ID of their selected person. After making contact through WeChat, the person renting out their time has the opportunity to reject their client, in which case the client gets a full refund. Otherwise, the two can arrange a time to meet.
Co-founder of the app Yulong Fan (范宇龙) said the app was created in part because young people don’t want to go out anymore, and why not get paid for going out?
“Between going to and from work, most people either stay at home by themselves or play games,” he said. “We’re not a community platform. We’re running an information service. No matter what you do, whether it’s meeting someone or completing a task, you have a cost.”
Fan compares Come Rent Me to Uber and a similar Chinese taxi service Didi Chuxing.
“When Didi and Uber started, they wanted to enable individuals to make money outside of their day jobs,” he said. “Now, Uber and Didi have transformed the free time of individuals, and have made private cars acceptable.”
Fan went as far as to compare Come Rent Me’s function to that of paying consultants and lawyers. But the company faces Chinese regulations around sex. In China, prostitution and porn are illegal, and media is often censored for “inappropriate” content.
But according to Fan, Come Rent Me is strict on who is renting and what they’re renting. Unfortunately, preventing illicit activity from happening is almost impossible once users meet offline.

WARSAW, POLAND — Polish company The Order of Yoni is seeking funds to support its latest brew, a beer made from the vaginal bacteria of a model.
The beer, known as Bottled Instinct, uses only the vaginal bacteria from Czech model Alexandra Brendlova.
The company said on its website that they chose Brendlova after a very strict selection process because she is the woman who “personifies [the] femininity, natural charm and lure and who possesses all the desired instincts” that they wanted to put in their brew.
Lactic acid bacteria is isolated, cleaned and multiplied from Brendlova’s vaginal bacteria in a lab. It will then be mixed with water, malt, hops, wooden chips and yeast to form this very special beer.
Each bottle is printed with the date and time of Brendlova’s vaginal swab, which tells customers how fresh the bacteria was. The company guarantees that the beer does not have vaginal smell or taste but just the “grace” and “lure” of the model herself.

SPAIN — The Spanish designers of a new smart mattress, dubbed the “Smarttress,” claim their invention can tell you when your partner is being unfaithful.
According to Re/code, the Smarttress bed’s “lover detection system” uses vibration sensors and contact zone detectors to tell if someone is on your bed when they’re not supposed to be. If the system detects activity, it notifies you via an app. The app displays the movement’s location and visualizes its intensity and per-minute impact.
Engineer Ivan Miranda told the Daily Telegraph that the device can tell the difference between the activity of sexual intercourse, or, say, a dog jumping on the bed. “If it detects suspicious activity regarding time of use, frequency, intensity or speed, it sends a notification to the phone terminal with which it is linked,” said Miranda.
The device will cost around £1,200, the Telegraph reported.
In a promotional video featured on the Smarttress website, Durmet, the company behind the Smarttress, say they designed the bed because of Spain’s high level of adultery.

Wearing underwear to bed is bad for your health, according to a gynaecologist.
Dr Alyssa Dweck said wearing pants in bed can increase the risk of infection.
She told Shape magazine: “I often tell my patients to sleep without underwear.
“If [the groin] is constantly covered – especially by a fabric that’s not moisture-wicking or absorbent – moisture collects.
“That’s the perfect breeding ground for bacteria or yeast.”
Dr Dweck recommends “going commando” from time to time.
She said those who insist on wearing underwear in bed should choose loose-fitting briefs.

SINGAPORE: Scenic Punggol Waterway Park is a favourite spot for young families, with many having picnics and flying kites there on weekends.
But after dark, another part of the park comes alive. In the forested area on a hill just a few hundred metres away from the park, a series of makeshift brothels pop up.
The Straits Times visited the area, located near the Safra Punggol club, in the evening on April 17 and found three clearings about 20m from the edge of the forested area overlooking the park, which is a haunt for foreign construction workers because of its proximity to their dormitories and worksites.
Each 5 sq m clearing, marked by joss sticks planted on the ground, had a blue tarpaulin sheet covering a mattress surrounded by condom wrappers, used tissues and empty water bottles. Used condoms, stained clothes and empty boxes of lubricant also littered the area.
Women dressed in black, believed to be prostitutes, could be seen climbing the slope into the clearings as night fell, even as park visitors continued cycling and jogging on the track below. Six men could be seen loitering in the area surrounding the clearings.
Workers in the area were aware of the makeshift brothels where 13 prostitutes, believed to be from Myanmar, are said to ply their trade almost every night, between 7pm and midnight, to about 20 workers of different nationalities. A worker, who wished to be known only as Sharif, said they charged $20 for each half-hour session.
Some said they believed locals also visited the prostitutes as they have seen people parking their cars nearby and walking up the slopes late at night.
Dr Goh Wei Leong, the director of HealthServe, which works with migrant workers, said that although jungle brothels are an ongoing issue, there are no figures on how many people visit such brothels.
The area had been cleared of tarpaulin sheets and mattresses when The Straits Times visited again last Friday morning, and a sign put up by the Singapore Police Force stated that eight people had been arrested for trespassing in the area, which is state land. Police confirmed the arrests but did not comment further.
In March 2014, 61 foreign nationals were arrested in the forested areas along Punggol for “illicit activities” such as vice and gambling.
However, the problem is believed to be a recurring one, as workers said the brothels have been raided several times in the past, only to be set up again shortly after.
Residents, many of whom have young children, said they were troubled by the presence of prostitution in the area.
Engineer Andy Herrera, 32, who is married with one child, said that although he did not mind workers congregating in the park, he was worried about the safety of his family.
Ms Nur Ali, who works in the mental health industry, said the brothel made her “nervous” as she sometimes had to work late.
“Knowing there’s risque business going on not too far from here is unsettling,” said the 31-year-old. The Straits Times/ANN

TORONTO — Canadian researchers published a new study that concludes circumcision does not reduce penile sensitivity among adults.
Researchers conducted experiments on 62 healthy men aged from 18 to 37, with 30 of them circumcised and 32 uncircumcised. The tests included tactile and heat sensitivity of the penis at the midline shaft, the area next to the midline, the glans and the foreskin. An area inside of the forearm was tested as a control.
The test results show uncircumcised and circumcised men did not differ in sensitivity at any of the penile sites and sensitivity at the forearm was lower than the other sites for both groups. In fact, the foreskin actually had similar sensitivity as the control site on the forearm.
“This study indicates that neonatal circumcision is not associated with changes in penile sensitivity and provides preliminary evidence to suggest that the foreskin is not the most sensitive part of the penis,” lead author Jennifer Bossio, PhD candidate in Clinical Psychology of the Department of Psychology, Queen’s University in Ontario told eCanadaNow.
The study also shows that sexual functioning may not differ across the circumcision status.

ENGLAND — The strain of gonorrhea known as “super gonorrhea” has spread since its emergence in Leeds, England last year. The outbreak has spread to the West Midlands and South East, according to Public Health England.
Super gonorrhea refers to a gonorrhea strain that has become resistant to one of the disease’s primary treatment drugs, and doctors are worried it may spread faster as it evolves to become untreatable.
Treatment of the super strain’s predecessor informally known as “the clap,” typically involves a combination of two drugs — azithromycin and ceftriaxone — but super gonorrhea is resistant to azithromycin, and doctors worry it soon be resistant to ceftriaxone as well.
The outbreak seems to have started among heterosexual couples, but is now infecting gay men. Gonorrhea commonly spreads through unprotected sex, but can also pass from mother to child in utero. It can cause infections in the genitals, rectum and throat.
If left untreated, the disease can cause permanent damage to both men and women reproductive systems, including sterilization. It can also spread to blood and joints, and become life-threatening. Untreated gonorrhea can also increase the risk of spreading and contracting HIV.
