5 Ladies Who Shaped Me (P1) - Alicia

    Chapter #1

Hey everyone, I’ve been reading a few threads in this section for some time now, although I stopped surfing sbf for about 7-8 months in between, the stories here have kept me occupied on days I’m bored to tears at home.

Some of the experiences shared here have reminded me of mine, so today I shall continue the spirit of sharing as well. I thank you all in advance for allowing my indulgence.

As keen as I am to share the saucy happenings, if I could, I also hope to reveal some of the lessons that have taught me to be a better boyfriend/lover/man.

There were 5 ladies in my life who have changed me and taught me things about women, and being in a relationship with one, and each of them deserves to have their own thread because of the impact they had on me.

Everything I’m going to share is all true, sans their actual names (the initials are the same). They’d be documented in a chronological sequence. Also, some of the conversations would be in Singlish, the way they actually happened.

This thread (P1) is dedicated to Alicia, who was my friend turned lover back in upper secondary (more than a decade ago), and also my first ever raw coitus partner.

Just to let everyone here know, there will be a build-up to how we started to date, and then get intimate. The raunchy bits will come in the 6th installment.

    Thank you once again.

    Chapter #2

    Introduction of Alicia

Alicia is a year older than I am and was a new transferee from another school. She’s outspoken, to some rebellious (not for me) and very determined. Guys with weaker personalities would find her intimidating. In my words, she’s not the kinda chick that you would find squealing at a Hello Kitty plush toy, or possibly types like this “hiiieee do euuu mizz moiii kekekexxzz”, or calls her bf “laogong/ai ai” – you get the idea.

If I could use one word to describe her facial features, it’d be “sultry”. She has this very foxy look that I reckon no sane female partner would allow their male counterparts to get near to.

Fair, with curves at all the right places (like Buona Vista 99 bends) and despite this, Alicia possesses the lengthiest legs ever. In fact, she has one of the best figures around in school. All the guys would talk about her: e.g. fair skin, if she has pink nips, where does she live and hang out, if she’s got a sister or if she’s attached etc. In short, she was pretty much the conversational piece amongst guys for a while.

Dudes who have tried to get close to her have fallen flat on their faces. Many echoed that she’s not the most approachable girl out there. It did catch my attention with that “phenomenon” spreading, but not enough for me to put curiosity to action, yet. I knew who she was, but not personally. Well, not until one day at detention class:

Appearing beside me suddenly while I was squatting outside the DM’s office,

    Alicia: Eh, you’re also here?

Slightly taken aback and looking around me,

Me: You’re talking to me? Do I know u?

Alicia (with a slight frown): Tsk… Then cannot ask ah

Taking a closer look at her, she was looking down at me, bent a little and holding a side of her long fringe with one hand. I was both surprised at the unsolicited company and also from her initiated approach, as she always appeared pretty “dao” (aloof). That first glance I had of her in that proximity left a deep image in me till today.

    Shaking it off,

Me: Lol you tsk what? You’re looking at me and ask me if I’m here… A bit geh gan right? First time u talking to yandao kia can u don’t show ur bimbo side or not. At least leave me a good impression right. Hahahaha…

Alicia (mouth wide open): 神经病啊你! Can don’t so BHB or not

Standing up and looking directly in her eyes,

    Me: Wah 你不觉得 yandao meh?

And then I gave her a cheeky wink.

Alicia: Aiya u’r really like what they said!

    Me: Who said what?

Alicia: People lor… Told me stuffs…

Me: Wah gehgan again. Zzzz. U really trying to prove u bimbo right?

Alicia: HAIYA U! Nothing lah I don’t want to talk to u already.

    Me: Hahaha fine with me.

Just then the DM opened the door and caught me laughing.

DM: N, you like coming to detention class right? Okay, tomorrow you come again. Same time same place. Now both of you just go to Mr. Ng and collect the mops and pails. Once you finished with Block A’s toilets get Mr. Ng to check then you can go. Understand?

Me: WAH LAO MR. GAN… I laughed because I’m happy you give me chance to contribute to the school you know. So happy I cannot contain it. You like that misunderstand me, ngoh hou hurt ge… (in Cantonese it means I’m very hurt)

    Alicia bursts out laughing.

DM: Alicia you find him very funny?

Alicia: Haha no Mr. Gan. I think he deserves to contribute more.

I threw her a death glare.

Me: Sir, no, tomorrow is not Contribution To School Day. Tomorrow is Save The World Day for me. Need to go around and see if got any old ladies need my help to cross the road or not. Or any falling babies to catch from burning buildings. U keep me here in school, tomorrow the world collapse how?

Alicia laughed again, but quickly pursed her lips.

To be honest I wasn’t impressed I made her laugh because I neither have the intention to awe her nor do I feel her laughing will help me with dissuading my DM off tomorrow’s detention.

DM (visibly pissed): Alicia, tomorrow you can join him as well. Both of you go now.

Me (taunting her): AHHH HAHAHAHAHA. Mr. Gan you’re awesome. Come Alicia let’s go. Show some enthusiasm leh hahaha.

As we walked to the storeroom, it’s her turn to show me the death glare, with her haughtily folded arms,

    Alicia: Asshole. Watch out.

Me: Haha don’t thank me thank Mr. Ganina

To which she sniggered but quickly reverting to her icy stare, as if to remind me this is not over.

I secretly thought to myself, “Wow feisty… I like.”

    Chapter #4

    Getting to know Alicia

The entire time we were alone, walking through the corridor to the next toilet on the level, I was checking her out.

You know, during my era, the more prolific or should I say “hiao” girls fashioned a certain style of uniform dressing. They’d have their skirts shorten, and their blouses tucked tightly in. These allowed them to show ample skin of their legs and accentuate the curves on their upper body.

Bros, if you belonged to the same era, and can relate to this - here’s a toast to you. And ladies, if you’re one of them girls, here’s me blowing thankful kisses to you.

It was hard for any guy not to take notice whenever a “hiao po” walked past, well, unless he’s visually-impaired or incapable of a hard-on. Making things much better was the white blouse that did little to conceal what’s underneath.

I remember thinking to myself, “if this doesn’t keep people in school what will?” - Girls vying to be “in” and guys benefitting from a field day at school. Ah, the cheap thrills.

Carefully observing her, I found myself drawn to her beauteous, porcelain skin and her silky hair. Moving my line of sight south from her neck, I recognized the all too common baby pink Triumph t-shirt bra, which contained her titillating mounds, screaming for attention against the thin uniform top that hugs tightly onto her.

More importantly, this feistiness she displayed drew me in the most. I needed to know just how much and if it’s enough for me to take action. But now, I gotta find out certain things.

I offered to carry the mops and pails, catching a whiff of her hair,

Me: Hey, what’d you come to detention for?

A lil startled by my unexpected question,

    Alicia: Er, why you kpo?

Me (rolled my eyes a lil): Nothing much just want to see if it’s a bimbo reason can?

Alicia: Idiot lah I’m not bimbo ok.

Me: Uh huh uh huh, so what’s the noble and intellectual reason then?

Alicia (her turn to roll eyes): I scolded Mdm Neo CCB when she searched my bag for cigarettes.

    Me: Hahahahahaha nice!

Offering her a hi-five, I feel myself liking her more.

    Alicia: Yeah, that’s why.

Me: Liangpopo (Mdm Neo) taught me last year, I don’t like her. She’s very judgmental - only likes goody-two-shoes. But I drive her nuts everytime not doing homework she gives but turn out final exam top 10 in cohort for History hahaha. My favourite number.

    Keeling over with chuckles,

Alicia: OMG LIANGPOPO… HAHAHA… Good one.

After composing herself quickly, she tried to be guailan, probably in a bid to “regain” the power dynamic she thought she had,

Alicia: I got ask you what’s your favourite number meh wtf

Me: Knn never ask then ignore lah

Alicia: Oei you polite a bit hor

Me: Or else what? Use your JPG long wallet to beat me ah?

Alicia: No I think I’ll use my comb to stab you.

(Note: Last time JPG wallet and sharp comb very “in”)

Me: Haha please take a good look at this thing call muscle,

At which I flexed my biceps,

Me: You see so “kiat” later your comb break don’t malu lah you

Alicia: Wah lao you really very bhb

Me: This is call confidence. Tell u u won’t understand, bring u too far, show u too troublesome. So Liangpopo found cigs in your bag?

Alicia: No. Passed to my friend Jane before class started, cos she said someone will keep for me.

Me: Jane ah?! U know who is that hero or not?

Alicia: Don’t tell me it’s you

Me: Hahaha say “thank you korkor”.

Alicia: HAHA really? KNS. Don’t anyhow hor I’m sure I’m older than you.

Me: Are u sure?! U want to bet? I’m sure I’m older.

We started to convince each other - I told her I dropped out of school for a while, and came back because I had probation order and as a result had to.

She revealed that she had issues with the juvenile law too, wasn’t charged but took some time off before transferring to our school. Told me her age and turned out she’s indeed older than me by a year.

Mentally, I’ve just upgraded her from a possible date to possible soul-mate.

I also started to notice more of her various unique facial expressions, and the gestures she makes. She always wanted to smile but tried to hide in case I noticed. Seems like she knows her “dao” image but doesn’t readily want to spoil it. But once in a while when I tried to tease her she’ll slap my arm in protest.

Guess I’ll need to draw her out more. Hmm, I do like to conquer the tough knolls. Pun intended.

    Chapter #8

    Asking Alicia out

Me: Hey then it’s okay to keep cigs what. Legally it’s okay for us to smoke but just don’t do so in school or in uniform. That’s why the rest always pass me their cigs. Just that everytime toilet got cig smoke smell I always “dah” (shoulder) for them cos they underage. Cb… A bit pekchek cos they buay zi dong.

Alicia: Haha really? Ya ya a bit bohua u come detention for nothing. How come you’re here today leh?

Me: Still dare to ask! Cos of you lah! I promised Ganina I don’t keep cigs for people anymore and he made a deal with me - if I don’t keep for anybody he won’t detain me. He’s tired of asking me to come detention knowing I’m not the real culprit and I won’t spill who smoked there.

Then I paused to look at her, as we slowed to a halt on the corridor, leaning on the railing,

Me: But then he checked my bag earlier cos he said female toilet got cigs smell… He asked around and nobody admitted. So he tried his luck with me, and found out I got both Marlboro and Davidoff…

    (Davidoff was hers)

    Alicia: Hahahahahahaha sorry sorry.

Me: Ya, help me tell Jane thanks for the ho kang tao hor.

She stuck her tongue out for the first time.

    Alicia: Don’t gek gao!

Me: Hahaha hanah hanah. I told him both are mine - I smoke Marlboro when I think of him and Davidoff when I think of the school. Hahaha I think he about to have a stroke.

    Alicia: Hahahahahahaha

Me: So when you treating me to go eat?

Probably dazzled by my brazenness lmao,

    Alicia: What?! You wish!

Me (unaffected at all): Wah u say I bhb then you must be buay paiseh. If not for u u think I need to come detention today meh?

Alicia (thinking for a while): Okay… When?

She asked, with a look of “you think I scared of you”

Me (congratulating myself in my mind): Now lor wait for what?

Alicia (stunned): No way I think you’re really crazy.

Me (challenging her): Scared ah? Scared then don’t want lor.

I smirked and shrugged my shoulders intentionally to taunt her. As I wait for her answer I know it will reveal more of her personality to me…

    Alicia: Haha lai lor!

    Bingo, that’s my girl.

    Chapter #9

Spending time together for the first time

We spent the rest of the day at a nearby McDonald’s and filled each other with our family background, history with delinquency, interest, likes and dislikes. I vaguely remember helping her to compose melody on her Ericsson 388 (I was using Ericsson 388 too).

It brought a lot of rejuvenation personally getting to know Alicia more as most of my close friends who went through thick and thin with me back in the days had already graduated or stopped schooling altogether.

Being 2 years older than the rest of my class, I hardly connected to anyone of them, neither intellectually nor emotionally – most interaction were purely superficial. It wasn’t fake interfacing, but just touch and go.

Alicia, on the other hand, related to what I was going through and shared very similar ideals and even family background with me. We both came from a dysfunctional family and our close friends were everything to us. After milking everything we could out of being non-mainstream and connection with delinquency, circumstances brought us back to a mundane but necessary path, in hope we moved on with life, or to obtain an ‘O’ levels cert at least, in our case.

Dipping a chicken nugget in curry sauce,

Me: Eh, you haven’t told me wor…

    Alicia: About what?

Me: When we were outside Ganina’s office lor, who said what about me?

Alicia: Oh, haha, aiya let your head swell a bit lah. The girls in my class told

me there’s a guy “N”, who’s quite famous… Talk like as if you are Chen Hao Nan like that. And say you’re very cheeky always flirting but never ask out any girl in school before. Don’t know what’s your stupid deal. I thought what BS. Cos u know lah people like us don’t think too highly of all those kinapi (small kids). Like very immature you know? I thought u also kinapi why they carry u until heaven.

At which she threw her hands up and shook her head at their “bimboness”.

Bursting out with laughter, I nudged her to continue,

Me: Hahahahahahahahahahahaha. Uh huh uh huh then anymore?

I separated the smaller crispier fries and gathered them nearer to her, as I noticed she preferred those.

    She continued,

Alicia: Then still got once, I was in the staff room, two teachers talking

about this “N” again, say you very bright, think very well of you, hope you don’t drop out of school again. I thought again wah lao why everybody talking about this kinapi!

Me: Hahahahahaha. Oei u only 1 year older hor what kinapi I can show u what is call man hor. Hahaha.

Reached over and pinching my arm,

Alicia: Stop ah you, and mai lai lah who also say they big.

Me: I say I show you already lor!

Alicia: Tsk… Ya lah big lah yours biggest lah.

Me (pointing to her chest): Haha no lah yours bigger… :P

    Alicia: HAIYA!

We continued the banter and it was only until the sky turned dark did we leave the fast food restaurant. I offered to accompany her home, which drew a sweet smile from her. I didn’t expect it; I didn’t show it but it was enough to captivate me.

We reached her void deck and she thanked me with that captivating smile again. I pressed onto the lift button from outside,

Me: You’re welcome. By the way, you know why I never asked out any girls from our school so far?

She paused, looked down at the lift floor for a moment, and looked back up at me,

    Alicia: Why?

Me: Cos I also don’t like kinapi.

    Bye.

I gave her a deliberate cheeky wink, and grinned. After waving her goodbye, I released the button, turned and left. Not before noticing she beamed from ear to ear, with a tinge of embarrassment. It was enough. She knew what I meant.
