I was glad I didn’t drink too much because I had intended to drive back to college anyway and didn’t want to risk getting drink-driving. So I took her for a spin in the car, round some curves, showing off what the car could do. I could tell she was thrilled because of all the ‘ooh’s and ahh’s’ that emanated from the passenger seat. After close to 20minutes of cruising around, she said she knew a quiet spot for us to ‘chillout’. Not quite clear on what she meant, I just complied.
Turns out there was a clearing, overlooking some sort of water body in the suburb of Kew. Cuddling up to me, she whispered in my ear “isn’t this nice?” In my wide-eyed naivety, I just nodded agreeably. “Zack, all the girls think you’re really cute but you’re way too serious… You should ease up a bit.”
“How am I tense” I asked a little too tersely.
“It’s nothing, but you should hang out with us more” she said smilingly.
“Perhaps a little of this would do you some good”. She proceeded to take out a small plastic bag from her handbag. Within it, was a couple of whittled and dry pieces of nondescript objects. It resembled dry vegetables. I wasn’t far off.
The gang with Vic on my left
“It’s mushrooms, try some!”She said, as she removed 2 pieces from the bag and pressed it into my open palms.
Without thinking , I ate them. It didn’t taste of much…had the texture of cardboard. I saw her eat some as well.
As it was getting a little humid in the car, we decided to get some fresh air and walked hand in hand along the beach. Then it hit me.
Suddenly the colours were brighter, shapes lost definition and everything just ‘flowed’. Everything was a water-colour painting and it was surreal. I could see the moon shimmering and I felt like I could taste it. I commented that the moon sure looked tasty. Victoria just giggled…and found this immensely amusing and continued to laugh, for about 10 minutes.
She looked positively radiant in her off-shoulder turquoise top and cream short skirt. She asked me if I’ve ever done this before?
In my last shred of logic, I asked “Done what exactly?”
“You know! Mushrooms? Hooked up with an aussie girl?” she laughed.
“Nope! I was hoping to go 2 for 2 tonight”
She giggled, grabbed my hand and ran back to the car

It certainly looks more that what it’s worth.. Certainly a good catch on for a transport cum chick mobile. Btw.. u still there or graduated?
Not a bad story bro. A slow burner, but done with good style.
Sounds like an Aussie version of American Pie … Australian Pie?
Good story bro…. beer and sex only? What happen to bongs? Crown? A good place to bonk is at MCG carpark, at night there’s hardly a soul around. And since you’re a car, a drive towards Geelong on the M1 highway is a nice getaway… how I miss Mel.
