I walked Ann back to her home, and asked her to inform Felicia that we were leaving. Felicia then came to me after 20mins, and we walked out to the main road to take a bus.
Felicia: Eh idiot. Ann gave you the number already.
I shook my head and Felicia asked me why?
Me: you think Andy will meet me meh.
Felicia: Then how?
Me: Ann will help me get him out.
All things seem to be set and it seems that we can go on with the plan, it was obvious that I did not only ask Ann to ask him out. I asked Ann to act as she was willing to exchange herself for the items that Andy held that threatened Jasmine.

I did not tell Felicia about the agreement and the photo as we made our way back to Bishan, I walked Felicia to the bus terminal, as she spoke to me.
Felicia: Eh Idiot, Jasmine was crying.
I did not answer her.
Felicia: Eh idiot! I say Jasmine was crying….
Me: I got hear lah I not deaf.
Felicia: She tell me to stop you, don’t let you do stupid things. ( in my mind I thought who was more stupid? Me or her)
I looked at Felicia: you also call me idiot already, then I sure do stupid things one what.
Felicia: I also know talk to you also like that.
Me: please Hor, tomorrow your job is to keep Ann safe.
Felicia: idiot, you always take Toa liap’s’ side.
I hold Felicia on the shoulder and I looked at her: I never take sides, if it was you I will do the same.
Soon her bus came and I sent her off, I went home and my pager beeped it was Ann and I returned her call, she had arranged to meet Andy tomorrow, she had asked him to meet at the terminal. All was going well, but will it work as I planned.
That evening there was nothing much eventful, as Evon was off my radar and I only paged Jane. I told Jane that I have issues to handle as some of the girls were having trouble.
Jane: you like to be hero Hor, I thought you were just injured.
Me: not hero lah, anyway I injured you also like that.( I did not tell Jane about the photo or the agreement, maybe I really don’t want anymore ppl to find out)
Jane: then what u want me to do? Cry ah…
Jane started voicing acting like the was crying and saying : so poor thing, pain or not? Jie Jie heart pain leh.
Me: thanks Hor, very convincing.
Soon we ended the chat and it was bed time for me, I was looking forward to the next day and I smiled, falling asleep fast.
Christina called that morning and I was really tired, I spoke to her from a brief moment(mainly asking about each other well being) and we hung up, and I went back to sleep after realigning my alarm clock. (the distance between us drew longer. and now I feel I love the girls more than her)
I woke up the next morning and it was the usual, today I had this feel, I was ready for anything. I reached the bus stop and I saw Evon, only hi’s were exchanged, I stood confidently as I waited for the bus , telling myself today is the day.
There was no Basketball for me that morning and I sat in the canteen waiting for Keong, he arrived and I told him on what I had arranged, he patted me on the back and these are the words from his mouth.
Keong: hopefully your Brother will wake up.
Soon we went for morning assembly, and the rest of the day was not really interesting. I was with Keong a lot and Ah Kai did not like it, he looked hard as I walked along side Keong, Maybe he has thought that I had joined his side.
It was the end of the day and the school bell rang, I moved toward Ah Kai, and told him I needed him to follow me.
Kai: Go where?
Me: just follow me.

Ah Keong came in and asked me what took so Long, I was as fustrated as I cannot be there later than Ann.
Keong talking to Kai: now your Brother got daichi, You coming or not? (It was obvious Keong was playing with Kai’s pride.
Keong pulled me asking me to go and shouted at Ah Kai: Brother? Pui!
It actually worked Ah Kai came running to us: Yang is my Brother, I won’t see him die one. Don’t see me no up Hor Keong.
Keong brought 2 of his guys with us and we took a train to Bishan.
Sheng was already there waiting for us and I introduced them.
Keong: Today, it is for brothers, I do not carry my clan in this.
Sheng smiled: I am not happy that he find trouble in my place, do what you need.
Yes, I have told Sheng about the fight and how I was beaten in Bishan. I am not encouraging anyone to join gangs, but gangster or ah Bengs are also human, there are also good and bad. Sheng heard my story and he agreed to help, but he never really told me what he had planned to do.
It was almost time and Felicia was searching for me at the terminal, I saw her and went up to her.
Felicia: Idiot, Ann is here already.
I shouted for Keong and he nodded, Ah Kai was lost as he was left out in most conversations, he just follow Keong that day.
I hid behind a pillar and told Keong who Andy was, Ah Kai seemed upset and told me I was making things difficult for him. He wanted to leave, and pulled him back.
Me: This is not only for me, it is also for you.
Kai: what you talking about? What does it have to do with me.
It has been a Long time since I saw the look at Keong’s face, he looked like he was out to kill as he looked at Kai.
Keong: Kah Lim Bei diam. ( shut up)
Ann kept her distance but Andy kept reaching trying to hold her, as they had a small discussion.
Keong asked me to hold onto Kai, as he moved up towards Andy wrapping his arm on his shoulder. It was the same choke Keong used to do on me, Andy struggle as Felicia ran in pulling Ann away. ( that sight was somewhat cute)
But soon they were surround by another 6 bengs and it was Sheng and his guys, they pushed and escorted Andy up to the TOP of the carpark and I pull Kai to follow.
At the TOP they pulled Andy to a corner, Sheng told me his guys would guard the doors and told me to go get him. Keong’s guys were holding him as Keong raises his fist on him. (It was the same as how I was assaulted by Andy, the only difference was this time he was the one being held)
Keong was hitting him like a sand bag, and all I could do was looked on with Ah Kai beside me.
Soon Andy was groaning and shaking on the ground as Keong lets go off him, Keong motioned for me to go over and I pulled Ah Kai along.
Ah Kai flustered and I think he was worried if Andy told Stephanie about his involvement in this, I pull him towards Andy I couldn’t help it but I gave him a few kicks before talking.
Seeing that I have taken over Keong and his guys retreated on the sides, just in case Andy retaliates.
Me: Andy, On Pris birthday you ask who to ask me go up?
I gave him a couple of kicks again (it was quite addictive)
Andy: don’t kick already I say…. Stephanie….
Ah Kai’s eyes widen, and he started kicking Andy too.
Kai: don’t anyhow say Hor.
I pulled Ah Kai back, stopping him.
Andy: it was also Stephanie that tell me he is Jasmine’s BF, or else how I know.
I asked Keong to look after Kai, telling him I have some more things to settle with Andy.
I pulled Andy’s hair and asked him for the agreement and photos.
He held his bag tight, and I tried to pull it away from him.
Keong’s guys gave me a hand and held on to Andy as I took his bag and poured everything out and looking through them.
I found the agreement and Afew paper bag of photos and I made sure the negatives were intacted.
I held on to them and I moved to Andy again, I kicked him once more asking him if there was anymore.
He shook his head.
I warn him not to lie to us, or I will come after him again. ( it was a bluff, after this I don’t think I could gather help from the guys to do it again)
Andy: really no more.
I told Keong it was done and his guys let go of Andy, We went down to the terminal and Felicia and Ann was waiting for me. I gave them a smile and we went to a nearby Coffeeshop with Sheng, Keong and their guys where I treated them to some food and drinks.
Ah Kai was beside me all this while and I remembered him telling me: Yang, Pai seh.
Ah Kai looked stress and I actually understood him, I patted him on the shoulder and I asked him a very simple question.
Me: Kai, you still love Stephanie?
Kai nodded…….
I pat him on the shoulder
Me: Don’t let her know about you knowing all these, we will talk tomorrow.
I did not want to talk to Kai as he was already uptight after the confrontation.
Keong asked Kai if he was going back to their Zai dui (home base), and offered to take a cab together. (Ah Keong was very smart, he was giving Ah Kai an reason to tell Stephanie, in case Andy told on him. And I Guess he really cared about ah Kai)
We parted ways and I offered my thanks again to Sheng, Now I have the items and I was planning to deal with Stephanie, but at the same time I did not want to hurt Kai, that was why I asked him that question.
I wanted to talk to Jasmine, and with Felicia around there was not way we can see the photos. I came up with an excuse saying that my dad page me and I need to go, We walk Felicia and waited for her bus with her. Felicia pestered me about what happen at the TOP of the carpark and I told her everything (minus the photo and agreement). Felicia boarded the bus soon and Ann held me my walking towards the MRT, I pulled her back stopping her in her tracks.
Ann gave me a puzzled look: Lawrence you need to go back right?
Me: I lied, cannot let Felicia know about the agreement and photo right?
Ann followed me back home, I was both anxious and nervous. If I tell you I did not want to see the photos, I think you would give me the finger. We reached my home and we went into my room I took out my loot (the photo and agreement) and placed them in the bed.

My hands tremble as I reached into the paper bag, and I pulled out a stack of photos.To me it wasn’t much, all I see was couple pics, there were so skin and shots take with the blanket and that was it. I passed Ann the stack and asked her to look at the rest as I took out the agreement and have a look at it.
I held it in my hand and read it out loud:
I, Jasmine, XXX XXXXX, NRIC:S79XXXXXX. Hereby signed this agreement on the xx/xx/1992, I will obey any request from the bearer of this agreement.
To me, it was more of a note with Jasmine’s signature in it. I called out to Ann and asked cheekily if she would write one for me. But when I hear her say no, I turned and looked at her. She was not replying me as she hands shook and photos dropped on the ground.
It was from another stack and as I picked them up, I too was in shock. Jasmine was smiling in them, and these where naked. It showed Jasmine in various positions, and it seemed that it was not Andy that took the pictures as I could see he with Jasmine in most of them.
I collected the photos in the floor and Ann placed both her hands on my left shoulder as I sat on the bed. Ann was crying, asking me to put the photos away. But I keep flipping through them and I saw Stephanie, she was also captured in some of the photos.
I was amazed by how they manage to get these developed , (I have photos undeveloped before as the auntie told me they were too obscene) I look through the rest and sorted them out. Most of them was Jasmine’s pics and I gather at most 5 pics with Stephanie in them, Ann stopped crying as I told her go wash up and I kept the photos with Stephanie in them.
Ann came back shortly, and I asked her on how we should break this to Jasmine.
Ann: I don’t know.
I thought about it and held the agreement note in my hands: I know what to do,
but I will need this.
I told Ann that we were going to her places as I stuff the items back into my bag, we went to a nearby bookshop to make another copy of the agreement.
Ann: Lawrence, why are you doing that.
Me: Trust me ok…..
We took went over to Jasmine and Ann’s place and I passed the photocopy note to her and gave her some instructions.
I stood outside the home and waited, it took a mere 2 minutes before I hear Jasmine screaming.
Jasmine: Ann where did you get this!??
