Me too, also have no problem blending in with the Thai community.

Must always remember that this is Thailand and not sillypore.

Must NEVER compare daily life with sillypore. It will never end.

If anyone want cheap place to live, good security, good education for kids and clean surrounding but have no money. So what is the point ?

No country is seems perfect to that person if that person has NO MONEY in the first place.

If have money, that person will stop complaining and start to LOVE this country.

Have you guys ever wonder why there are so many millionairs who STILL prefers to live in Thailand instead of living in those western countries.

Look behind the smiles. Smiles in LOS can mean anything.

Thai only said ‘mun’ to foreigners, in facts to anyone also (thai ppls included) if they feel that they’ve been provoked/ lose face.

I believed your farang colleagues must have said some bad remarks/things to them. That’s why they (thai ) reacted in this way.

This kind of thing can also happen in our sg society. Imagine if a FT working in sg, start scolding his workers (s’poreons) stupid, slow learner and useless piece of shits. You will see KNN !! %&%$#@ starting flying out of the s’poreon mouth too.

Actually from Indonesia, a lot of rich ones want to come stay in Singapore and buy homes here. Why?

    Mainly cos of security.

For info to those who says Thailand is very safe, the bombs at the Southern part of Thailand do detonate, So each country got their own pros and cons.

Interesting article but the article was done interviewing an image consultant where the article looks very very thin in content.

After reading it, to summarise, it only shows how to blend into the Hi-So via image which they project to others.

In actual fact, it never touch on how these group of Hi-So are being attracted to the circle of Hi-So.

In any case, when you have the money, this circle will look for you, you don’t need to look for them

heard from my friend that he got questioned regarding his 2month stay in bkk since he had a cambodia visa run for extension.

I currently have 6 cambodia stamps already, how u can have more than 20times when u have onli 12months in a yr?tourist visa is for one month rite?

I never did any cambodia visa runs. I just go SG-BKK-SG, and stay a few days only in LOS each time. I think if you keep extending and don’t spend even a bit of time overseas, maybe you will get questioned. But seems many farangs stay in LOS this way.

What additional benefits are there for platinum card?

    Chapter #70

Today, I got Mrs Cat Man to make enquiries again at Bangkok Bank and Siam Commercial Bank (both are Petchburi Road branches near where Petchburi joins Wireless Rd and Soi Chidlom).

Bangkok Bank (Bualuang services) said foreigner with work permit but no PR can loan up to 80% of the condo price depending on salary/credit history (Apparently I think when I enquired at Ploenchit Rd branch, the staff “mai roo reung”).

SCB said same thing, foreigner with work permit can get loan, but only up to 60%-70%.

    Time to start looking around
