An Affair with an older married lady... and the aftermath...

    Chapter #321

Sunday was like any normal day. I woke up late, went to the nearby hawker centre to tapau lunch. Went home. Did nothing. Lazed around in bed all day.

Nobody texted or replied to messages so I just left it.

The first few days of the week were normal too, morning Zoom meetings, and basically nothing much for the rest of the day.

I was still waiting for Jasmine to text me. Or perhaps I should just follow what Alicia told me. Not to wait for her.

Ann still didn’t appear or make contact with anyone.

Wednesday afternoon I got a text from Felicia, asking if I had decided yet. I guess she was horny already. I wondered if she would get the hint that I really wasn’t that keen in continuing FWB with her. Not at this time anyway. As someone mentioned, I got whacked by one husband before, now potentially there were two more that would want to whack me as well if they knew what I did with their wives.

Being alone was actually a good thing for me. I had a lot of time to think about what I really wanted. But there was a big difference in thinking, and doing things to move towards what I wanted. And I wasn’t doing anything but wait. If she was meant to be mine, she would be, no matter how long it took.

I went for a solo cycle on Thursday night, the weather looked good and I wondered if I could finally do a RTI on the foldie. It didn’t really matter how long I took, Friday would be a rather relaxing day as somehow the boss had cancelled the morning Zoom meeting and told everyone to just take a break and not do any work. Hopefully HR would not deduct annual leave for that.

I headed to all the familiar landmarks. Marina Barrage, ECP, Jurassic Mile, TMCR, Changi Village, Seletar Aerospace, Yishun Dam etc. But I could not go further towards Sembawang Park, or Woodlands Waterfront. I felt odd, or uneasy. These northern places were where I used to go with Jasmine when we really cycled. I stopped at a coffeeshop near her place and texted her, not really expecting a reply. But I did get one.

J: Sorry sorry! Been really busy. What’s up?

Me: I’m at the coffeeshop opposite your place.

    J: Doing what?

    Me: 100 plus. Been cycling.

    J: Oh? Didn’t ask Alicia?

    Me: No.

J: Did you purposely come and find me?

    Me: Maybe.

    J: Why?

    Me: I miss you?

J: Is that a statement or a question?

    Me: Both.

J: Haha. You’re so cute. I miss you too.

Me: Why are we doing this?

    J: Doing what?

    Me: Playing this game.

J: Are you feeling ok? You don’t sound ok.

Me: How can you tell from WhatsApp?

    J: The way you’re typing.

    Me: I’m ok. I just… miss you.

    J: My husband is home.

Me: And yet you’re replying me.

    J: He’s in the shower.

    Me: Didn’t join him?

    J: Actually…

    Me: ???

J: I prefer showering with you.

Me: I’m very sweaty now. I do need a shower.

    J: Hahaha!

Me: Want to shower with me?

    J: You tell me how?

Me: Your clubhouse got toilet right? With shower.

    J: Are you being serious?

    Me: Yes?

    J: Crazy.

Me: So how are you spending your break tomorrow?

    J: Not sure. You?

Me: I wanted to do RTI. But I’m stuck here now.

    J: Eh. You RTI bojio.

    Me: You wanted to do?

    J: Yes! But you’re on a foldie.

    Me: So?

J: I have to ride slower at your pace.

Me: Lend me your husband’s bike then.

J: Crazy. Wait he ask why I go alone with you. Ride so long somemore. What if he want to follow?

Me: Ya. 20km he already got cramps. You think he will follow?

    J: Who knows.

Me: So he has a small dick?

J: That’s Alicia’s opinion. You didn’t ask her what happened?

    Me: No.

    J: Aren’t you curious?

    Me: Not really.

    J: Ok. I’ll join you.

Me: Really? I was only joking.

There was no reply for a while. I got another 100 plus.

Couple of minutes later she replied.

J: Come up and take his bike. I told him three of us are going.

    Me: Me, you and Alicia?

    J: Yup.

Me: Even if you’re using her as an alibi, she also rides a foldie?

J: Eh, how long haven’t you gone back there or spoken to her?

Me: Since last week ride. Why?

J: She bought a road bike.

    Me: Huh? Really?

J: My idiot husband cycled so fast cos he wanted to get home faster. That’s why he had cramps. Alicia could barely keep up.

Me: So she bought a road bike? To keep up with your husband?

J: Siao. She felt it was time to upgrade la.

Me: She knows what to buy?

J: Nope. I told her just go entry level first. So she went to Decathlon.

    Me: Oh.

J: Stop interrupting me and come up and take the bike.

    Me: And where is Alicia?

J: Waiting downstairs la! You’re coming to borrow his bike. Why the hell would she come up too? Too free is it?

    Me: Ok.

J: You’re damn bad at lying.

    Me: That’s a good thing.

    J: Can you hurry up?

    Me: Ok.

I finished my 100 plus and headed over. It felt weird. Borrowing and riding someone else’s bicycle. Maybe I should get my own too.

    Chapter #323

I headed up to her place. She was already waiting at the door. I greeted her and her husband. I passed my water bottle to Jasmine.

A: Do you want to buy this from me?

Me: Didn’t you just buy it?

A: I don’t think I like cycling. The bike is hard to ride too.

    Me: Oh?

    A: Handlebars are weird.

I sort of agreed with him. I never really rode a bike with drop handlebars for long distances before.

Me: I’ll let you know after this ride.

    Jasmine returned with my bottle.

J: Aiyah. Just buy it from him la.

    Me: I can’t cycle 2 bikes home.

J: Leave it here first then.

A: Try my bike. If you like it then you can buy it.

    Me: Ok.

We headed out, heading towards Woodlands by following the MRT track.

J: Try his bike. Just like you tried his wife.

    Me: Wah lau!

    J: No meh?

    Me: Huh?

J: If you like the bike then buy it lor.

    Me: Then the wife?

J: It’s not buy one get one free hor.

Me: I wasn’t thinking about it.

J: Oh. So you don’t want me?

    Me: What?

    J: Fine!

She pedalled harder and left me wobbling behind as I was still getting used to the bike.

I caught up but we rode in silence till we reached Woodlands Waterfront. We parked at the jetty, surprised that we could actually find a quiet corner.

    Suddenly, she hugged me.

    Me: What’s wrong?

    J: Nothing.

    Me: Just say it.

    J: My periods late.

    Me: Oh.

    J: I may be pregnant.

Me: Isn’t that a good thing?

J: I don’t know. Do you have cigarettes?

I dug into my bike bag and passed her my sticks. She lit one. I was about to light my own when she stopped me.

J: We steng. I don’t want the full stick. Bad for the baby.

    Me: Errr…

She passed the cigarette over. I took a puff. The filter was wet.

Me: Didn’t know you were a wet smoker.

J: Ya. I licked the filter first.

    Me: Why?

J: Heard it makes it taste better.

    Me: Ya right.

J: You don’t like my saliva?

Me: I like. Like it better when it’s straight from your mouth.

    She punched my arm.

    J: Idiot.

Me: It’s been a few weeks since your husband is back.

    J: And?

Me: Do you really want to keep seeing me like this?

    J: I’m conflicted.

Me: You had sex with him with the intention to start a family right?

    J: I think so.

    Me: What do you mean?

J: He’s changed. He will just use me, cum inside, then go do his own thing.

Me: And you didn’t like it?

J: I’ve been spoiled by you. You fuck me too well.

Me: You didn’t enjoy it but you still let him do it.

    J: He’s my husband. It’s my duty.

    Me: Ok.

    J: But…

    Me: But what?

    J: His other family.

    Me: Yeah?

J: Don’t think he’s going to leave them.

Me: If that’s the case then why are you starting a family with him too?

    J: I don’t know.

Me: I don’t think polygamy is legal here right?

    J: I don’t know.

Me: What are you going to do?

    J: I don’t know.

Me: You seem to not know a lot of things.

    J: Ya lah. It’s complicated.

Me: If you didn’t take the morning after pill, and it was my child you’re carrying, what would you do?

J: I don’t know. It depends on what you would do.

Me: I’d take care of you and the child.

    J: Really?

Me: I’d do my best I guess.

    J: What about my husband?

    Me: That’s up to you.

J: You said polygamy is illegal.

Me: You’d have to divorce him. We’ll get married.

J: What if I don’t want to get married again?

    Me: Then… you’ll have a bastard child.

    J: Like Jon Snow?

    Me: Yeah. Something like that.

J: But actually he was a prince right?

    Me: Son of a prince.

J: And he fucked his aunty the mother of dragons.

Me: Why are we even talking about Game of Thrones.

J: I’m trying to distract myself.

    Me: From what?

    J: Everything.

Me: You know you can talk to me right?

J: You’re not the best person to talk to in this situation.

    Me: Why not?

    J: Because I like you.

Me: Should we not meet next time then?

    J: But I want to.

Me: You need to decide what you want.

    J: I know.

    We finished the cigarette.

    Me: Are we continuing?

J: Do you know how to go to LP1?

Me: I never plotted the route.

J: How are you doing the RTI?

Me: I honestly didn’t plot it either. Just cycled around.

J: Let’s just head back yeah?

Me: Straight back? Or through Mandai?

    J: Mandai.

    Me: Ok.

We got on our bikes and continued riding.

I was getting the hang of the road bike and wondered how much her husband would want for it. It wasn’t the entry level model.

Her husband was already sleeping when we got back. I put his bike back in the balcony and took my own. We shared another stick at the balcony.

As I turned to leave she pulled me back and planted her lips on mine, her tongue fighting with mine.

    Me: What was that for?

J: You wanted the saliva straight from my mouth right?

Me: We shouldn’t be doing this.

    J: Too late.

I left. It would be a long ride back. I guess now I had 2 decisions to make regarding transport purchases.

    Chapter #325

By the time I actually got into bed, it was probably time to wake up. But it was Sunday so I didn’t really care.

My phone was close to dying so I plugged it in and just let it charge. The weather was strange. It had been a cool night, perfect for cycling, but when I reached home, showered, and entered my room, it was like an oven. I turned on the aircon and went to sleep. Hopefully the room would cool fast enough for me to at least have a comfortable rest.

I couldn’t sleep well though, as I was awakened at around 8am by the phone vibrating non-stop. It was Alicia calling me.

    I answered sleepily.

    Me: Yeah?

    A: Mom’s back.

    Me: Oh.

A: You wanna come talk to her?

    Me: I barely slept.

    A: Hang on.

She disappeared for awhile before returning.

A: Ok. False alarm. She’s back to take clothes and her phone charger.

    Me: So… extended sexcation?

A: Seems like it. Did she reply you?

    I checked my phone. Nothing.

    Me: Nope.

A: Ok. Then just forget it.

    Me: Ok.

    A: You know…

    Me: What?

    A: I think she’s spiralling again.

    Me: How can I help?

A: You can’t. Not this time I think. Just let her be.

Me: Even Alan can’t talk to her?

A: He tried. She’s not talking to any of us. But physically she looks fine. Not walking properly though. Haha.

    Me: Right. Too much info.

A: Ok. I’ll let you go back to sleep.

    Me: Thanks.

A: Tell me about your night with Jasmine later.

Me: How did you know I was out with her?

A: She texted me to ask me to be her alibi. We went for night cycling again.

    Me: Ah. Ok.

    A: Well, good night then.

I couldn’t get back to sleep so I texted Ann.

It was probably an hour or so later of me watching YouTube when she replied.

A: Sorry. I need to do this. You don’t have to understand or accept it.

    Me: It’s ok. I understand.

A: Thank you. We’ll talk properly when I’m back.

    Me: When will that be?

And then there was no reply.

I decided to get out of bed and bring my parents out for lunch, as seeing that come Monday, dine-in would be back to 2 persons, unless all were vaccinated. I had yet to receive my second dose.

We went for teochew porridge. Unsurprisingly, my mom got quite a few fish dishes, probably worried about the likely upcoming shortage of fish.

After lunch I headed back home.

I didn’t know what to do for the rest of the day so I just rolled around in bed.

Jasmine texted me around 5pm, telling me that she took a pregnancy test, and she wasn’t pregnant. I suppose that was good news. But her period was still late. Perhaps her body was adjusting to the sudden constant sex.

Felicia texted me too, saying she was sorry, she shouldn’t have been so pushy with me, and she hoped that somehow we were still friends. Of course we were, nothing happened to damage the actual friendship so I guess that was that.

Alicia texted me for dinner, so I headed over to the East. Alan and Amanda joined too, all of them probably just wanting to make use of the last day of group dining in.

Alan reminded me about the car, and that they were still holding it for me. I told him I was still thinking about it. He offered to settle the downpayment for me and I would just pay the installments. I declined. I didn’t really need a car right now. I guess they were really desperate to move an Off Peak car from their inventory.

Alicia ambushed me after dinner to talk about Jasmine, but I didn’t really want to. It was getting a little tiring. After all, she did tell me not to wait for her. It was like she knew something, but wasn’t going to tell me about it, yet wanted to know what was happening.

I took a long bus ride home just so that I could be alone. I probably should have walked instead, would probably take like 1.5-2 hours if I walked slowly. It would give me more alone time to thing about things.

It didn’t really matter anyway. I had one day of work before the Public Holiday, and of course, was still waiting for Ann to have a proper talk.

Jasmine didn’t text me any more that night, I guess I would see her on the morning Zoom meeting.

Yes, I’m a spare tyre for her. But being in the situation I was, and being unable to explain the feelings I somehow developed for her, a spare tyre was better than no tyre at all.

    Chapter #326

    Chapter #327

Monday was a normal day. Morning Zoom meeting, do our own stuff for the rest of the day. I was hoping Jasmine would ask me out for night cycling as the next day was a Public Holiday, but it didn’t happen.

Tuesday was Hari Raya Haji, I practically spent the whole day lazing in bed. No one texted or called, and I didn’t call or text anyone either.

I headed back to the office on Wednesday to clear stuff again. It seemed like everytime I went back to the office I was somehow expecting Felicia to be nearby, and that I would somehow bump into her at the 7-11 when I bought cigarettes. But she didn’t show up or text me.

As expected, Ann had not contacted me yet to talk.

I was feeling bored, so I left the office early and texted Alan to meet him at the dealership.

Somehow or another, I think he expected me to want to buy the car and it was parked on the outside, as if it was waiting for me to do a test drive.

I did test the car, taking it out, testing the acceleration, braking and speed. It was pretty fast I guess, for a 1-litre car. But did I really need a car now? It would definitely be convenient for travelling. But an off peak car had restrictions. Was I willing to abide by those restrictions?

I parked the car and headed into the office.

A: Ok. Now we just need to transfer ownership and settle the insurance.

    Me: Say what?

A: Oh. Mom asked me to pay for the car.

    Me: Right.

A: I’m not kidding. If you don’t want it eventually, just transfer it back. Maybe Alicia will somehow decide to get her license one day.

Me: Why is she being so generous?

A: Who knows. But do you think I paid for my car? Neither did Amanda.

    Me: You’re her kids.

A: And you’re our guardian if she dies.

Me: I don’t think this is a good idea.

A: It’s already been done. We need the car out of here as it’s taking up space.

The admin girl looked at us.

AG: Well? Do I proceed or not? I need the IC.

    I passed her my IC.

    Me: Cheapest insurance please.

AG: First year not cheap. We have to earn ok? Next year you settle yourself. Budget Direct is quite cheap.

    Me: Ok.

A: Even if you don’t want to drive it, just leave it at your car park, at least you’ll have a car to use when you want.

    Me: Doesn’t feel good.

    AG: Free car don’t complain.

She passed me back my IC.

Alan dropped me off at the MRT and I headed home.

Thursday and Friday were work from home so as usual, I didn’t do much other than appear to look interested during the morning zoom meeting.

I did notice on Friday morning that Jasmine looked a bit strange, like her eyes were swollen. Or it could just be the poor quality of her web camera.

I dropped her a text to check if everything was fine but didn’t receive a reply.

In the late afternoon, the Admin Girl called to tell me that the transfer was done and insurance settled, I could take the car anytime. I decided not to disturb Alan so I headed down myself.

AG: Here are the keys, all the documents inside car already.

    Me: Thanks.

AG: Are you lady boss godson?

    Me: Err…

    AG: Boyfriend?

    Me: I guess.

AG: Lady boss very good to all of us. She paying for my school fees.

    Me: I see.

AG: If you her boyfriend better ask her faster marry you. Can enjoy life.

I simply smiled at her and took the keys.

The car was freshly washed and waxed, and the interior had that new car scent, or perhaps it was just the hanging tree air freshener thing on the rear view mirror.

I checked the documents and started the engine, letting it warm up before driving off in search of a petrol station.

I was heading home after pumping petrol when Jasmine replied my text, asking if I was free to go over. I immediately diverted to the expressway and headed over.

The guard didn’t recognize my car so I had to fill up the entry particulars this time.

I buzzed her intercom and she let me in. Her door was already ajar so I entered. I found her smoking at the balcony.

    Me: Hey, everything ok?

She turned around and I got a shock.

Her eyes really were swollen and there appeared to be bruising on her cheek and neck.

She stubbed out her stick and came over to hug me. I hugged her back, although I was looking around to see where her husband might be. Thankfully, he wasn’t at home.

    J: We had a fight.

Me: I can tell. Hope you won.

    J: Of course I did.

I took her back into the living room and we sat on the sofa. I examined the bruises on her face and neck. It looked like she was punched and strangled.

She flinched slightly as I accidentally brushed against her side.

    I lifted her t-shirt.

    J: Oi! I’m not wearing a bra!

Me: Not as though I never seen you naked before.

I removed her t-shirt. There were bruises over her ribs, and back.

    Me: Eh. What happened.

    J: We fought?

    Me: Over?

J: I asked him to leave his other family. He said he could not. Then I asked him what he wanted. He said he didn’t know. I told him I didn’t care about his other family, if he’s back here he better make things right, otherwise I’ll divorce him and find someone else.

    Me: Oh.

J: Suddenly he went crazy and started hitting me.

Me: Did you call the police?

    J: No.

    Me: Where is he now?

    J: Hospital? I don’t know. Don’t care.

Me: Have you seen a doctor?

    J: No.

    Me: Would you like to?

    J: No.

    Me: Ok then.

J: Can you buy dinner for me?

    Me: From?

    J: Opposite coffeeshop.

    Me: What do you want?

    J: Erm. Indomie gerprek.

Me: What in the world is that?

J: Left side corner stall. Just tell them indomie gerprek, and you want it freshly cooked.

    Me: Ok.

She passed me an access card.

    J: This is yours now.

    Me: What?

J: Access to side gate and lobby.

Me: You aren’t afraid I’ll come over any time?

J: You can’t enter my house without the PIN anyway.

    Me: True.

    J: The PIN is XXXXXX.

    Me: Erm. For real?

J: Even if you come over uninvited, what’s the worst thing you can do? Rape me?

Me: I don’t think it will be considered rape.

J: Then no issues. Now can you please help me buy food. I haven’t eaten the whole day.

Me: What? Ok I’ll go now.

    1. I asked her a couple of times, she doesn’t want to. Apparently he was hurt more than her. But I can’t verify that.

    2. I’m not eating Indomie gerprek again. It’s too spicy. My stomach is killing me. She seems to enjoy it though. Perhaps when can dine in again I’ll bring her.
