    Chapter #82

ChenLong left after letting everyone know that he will be back to collect his payment in flesh after he had made a few arrangements. Anxiety clouded everyone’s faces as they wondered what he meant by ‘arrangements.’ After slamming the door on the loan shark, my mother went to sit at the dining table, probably disgusted by my uncle Kenny who was still cowering in the living room. Aunt Joyce joined her shortly after. The sisters held hands to comfort each other. I ran back upstairs when Uncle Kenny came my way to return to his room.

I came down several hours later to find my mother and Aunty Joyce still at the dining area, making calls on their handphones.

“Yes, as much you can spare,” My mother said. “We’ll try to pay you back as soon as possible.”

Aunty Joyce’s phone calls went along the same lines. They were trying to raise funds by borrowing money from acquaintances. But I doubt they can raise half a million Ringgit doing that. I tasted the despair looming over their heads and felt it envelope my own heart. Aunty Joyce had always been kind to me. It sucks that she was put in this position. I began to hate how powerless I was to protect my family.

When my father came home from work, my mother and aunt stopped making calls and acted like nothing was out of the ordinary. Uncle Kenny cooped himself up in his room and did not even come down for dinner.

When I retired to bed for the night, I began to really worry about Aunty Joyce. I wrecked my brain for solutions and found myself lacking. With nowhere else to turn, I resigned myself to prayer.

My handphone chimed, indicating an sms received.

(Richard) Hey, what’s this I hear about your family got money problems?

(Daniel) How the hell you know?

(Richard) Your mom message me la.

(Daniel) Why would she message you?

(Richard) Dunno. From her messages, she seems desperate. But she won’t tell me exactly what’s wrong. So what’s up? You bet football ah?

    (Daniel) Not me. My uncle.

(Richard) Shit. Really anot? You guys owe ah-long money?

    (Daniel) Not us! My uncle!

(Richard) Like there is a difference. So how much you guys owe?

    (Daniel) 500000 I guess.

    (Richard) Siao ah? You serious?

(Daniel) I’m not in the mood for fucking jokes.

(Richard) LOL. Die la your family.

(Daniel) You msg me just to kick me when I’m down?

    (Richard) I was just curious.

(Daniel) If you can’t help then fuck off.

    (Richard) Eh, I didn’t say I can’t help.

(Daniel) What do you mean? So you’ll help us?

(Richard) Hmmm. I dunno. You were always kind of a dick to me despite how well I treated you.

(Daniel) Fuck you! What do you want?

    (Richard) How about some gratitude?

(Daniel) Whatever. I dunno what you can do anyway. You’re rich, but not that rich.

(Richard) Well, if you’re going to be like that, I wish you the best of luck. When the Ah-long is at your doorstep splashing red paint, you are welcome to ask me again, make sure you learn some manners by then.

Gah. Fucking motherfucker. I dropped my phone and tried to go to sleep.

The next day, after school, I returned home to find my mother, aunty Joyce, and uncle Kenny sitting in the living room again. My mother came up to me and handed me 50 ringgit.

“Daniel, go eat outside today okay? You can go shopping after that if you want. Don’t come back until I call you okay? We are having an important guest over, you can’t interrupt us,” My mother told me. She looked terribly stressed. My gut told me that this was it. The loan shark is coming.

I took the money and left after giving her a hug. She was trembling. I was ravenously hungry before but now, I just lost my appetite. Fuck it, I told myself. I needed to swallow my pride. Whipping out my phone, I typed out a message to Richard.

(Daniel) Look, I’m sorry. The loan shark is coming. Please help us.

I went to the bus stop to sit down and stared at the phone for nearly half an hour, but there was no reply. I really hate that motherfucker.

With no where else to go, I turned around and headed back home. I didn’t have the heart to scare my mother by walking in the front door again. Time to go ninja. I climbed the low wall seperating our modest courtyard from the neighbour’s and got on to the roof from there, making sure to avoid the electric power lines. The upstairs bathroom window was small, but it didn’t have grilles like the rest of the windows. I managed to squeeze through.

As I walked into my room, the doorbell rang from downstairs. It made my gut knot. ChenLong was here.

As usual I took up position at the top of the stairs. I watched my mother let ChenLong in at the door. He strutted in like he owned the place. Well, Since we owed him half a million ringgit, he probably did own everything we have.

“You’re even more beautiful then I remembered, May,” he said.

I didn’t know if he was trying to be funny or charming.

My mother ignored him and returned to the living room to sit beside Aunty Joyce.

“So…” ChenLong said as he took his own seat next to Uncle Kenny, “Shall we get down to business?”

No one replied him, or even looked at him. Aunty Joyce was beginning to sob again.

“Don’t like that Joyce, I don’t bite,” ChenLong continued. “much…”

My mother glared at him. I’ve never seen such fury in her face before.

ChenLong smiled back at her. “As I thought, you look more radiant when you’re angry,” he said. “Now then, here are the terms. You’re lucky I fancy your wife Kenny, so I’m willing to pay her high a bit for her services. Three times a week I will take Joyce…”

    DingDong!

It’s the doorbell again. It caught everyone by surprise. ChenLong in particular was annoyed. My mother rose and hurried to the door and peered out the window at the gate. Her face turned into an expression of astonishment. I saw her hit the switch to open the gate and a minute later, she pried open the front door and poked her head out.

“Richie?” I heard her say. “This isn’t a good time.”

I couldn’t hear Richard’s reply but he gently pushed passed my mother after that and entered into the house. My mother was dumbfounded.

“Who’s that? your son?” ChenLong asked.

“No, I’m a friend.” Richard replied. “And you’re the loan shark I’ve been hearing about.”

The room was silent. Even ChenLong was taken aback.

Richard continued, “Here is how it’s going to go down. You’re going to forget about the debt and leave. And you’re never going to bother this family again.”

I expected ChenLong to laugh him off but he remained silent while staring intently at Richard. It would seem he could sense that Richard was not just blowing hot air.

“And why should I do that?” ChenLong asked back rather cautiously. “Who are you anyway?”

Richard smiled. “Doesn’t matter. What matters is that my uncle is a police superintendent.”

ChenLong stared at him long and hard. Finally, he broke out into laughter. “Looks like you have some friends in pretty high places Kenny,” he said as he slapped Uncle Kenny on the back.

Was Richard’s uncle really a cop? I have no idea. It struck me then how little I know about this so called friend of mine. In any case, Chen Long certainly seemed to believe him. Maybe it was the look in his eyes.

Chen Long then rose and began walking towards the door. Before heading out, he turned to face Richard and said, “Be careful of Kenny. You can’t really save someone who is beyond redemption. There are some things that even your uncle’s position won’t be able to save you from.”

And then he was gone. For a moment, no one could believe what just went down.

“Oh, Richie…” My mother said weakly. She hugged him and broke down into tears.

It was an emotional moment in our household. For the most part, Uncle Kenny and Aunty Joyce were still in a daze, as if unable to believe the fate which they had narrowly escaped. As Richard wrapped his hands around my mother’s back, he glanced up at me at the top of the stairs. Our eyes met and I understood. The debt was still hanging over our family. The only difference is I was the one expected to pay.

Lazy to check, but I do believe I mentioned at the beginning of the story that Daniel’s mum got pregnant with him at a very young age. His father married her later. Anyway, by this point of the story, the main character is 17 already. It’s been a year since the events with alex.

    Chapter #85

Aunty Joyce was the first to overcome her daze. She approached my mother and Richard who were still embracing.

“Jie, who is this?” She asked.

“This is Richard. He’s Daniel’s friend,” she said as she gently wiped some tears from her eyes.

“Thank’s Richard,” Aunty Joyce said to him. “I was honestly at my wits ends. You saved our lives.”

“It’s nothing,” he replied. “I’m just glad I wasn’t too late.”

Richard placed a hand reassuringly on Aunty Joyce’s shoulder. I noticed Uncle Kenny flinching at his gesture. He cautiously approached Richard. “We are in your debt, young man,” he said weakly as he took his wife’s arm.

I was surprised that Uncle Kenny was suddenly acting possessive. Maybe he was making up for his total emasculation in the hands of Chen Long. Or maybe he could sense that Richard was an entirely different predator altogether. Say what you will about cowards, but their instincts are usually spot on.

The group exchanged words in hushed tones for several minutes. My mother and Aunty Joyce traded a long encouraging hug before Aunty Joyce broke it off and excused herself and Uncle Kenny. She needed to head back to work and insisted that Uncle Kenny spend every waking minute scouring the local job market.

My mother saw them off at the front door. Before they were even past the front gate, Richard wrapped his arms around her waist from behind. I felt my heart plummet when she sank back against him rather than resisted.

    “You’re shaking,” Richard said.

“I was terrified,” she replied. After a short awkward pause, she said, “Can you stay awhile? Daniel is out and I don’t want to be alone right now.”

Richard nodded and turned her around slowly. He lowered his head for a kiss and to my horror, my mother pushed her lips against him. While she was surrendering into his arms, Richard’s hands snaked purposefully down her back. My mother was wearing a long figure hugging white floral skirt which reached down over her knees to her calves and an olive green blouse. His hands slid over the lovely curves of her butt and pawed impatiently at the flowery fabric of her skirt.

“Mmmmph…” She moaned into his mouth and then pulled away from him.

    “Sorry Aunty, I… I thought…”

    “No… It’s alright,” She replied. “It’s my fault. I’m sorry… I’m just not ready…”

    “It’s okay…”

My mother shook her head and continued, “I mean what we’ve done together previously was very wrong. I’ve slipped up some time back and since then my life seems to be spiraling out of control. This is the first time it feels like everything is going to be okay again. I don’t want to mess this up, Richie.”

She was beginning to cry again.

“I understand Aunty,” Richard said to her. “I apologize. I am at fault as well. Let’s have a seat, you don’t look well.”

I watched Richard lead my mother to the long couch. They sat down beside each other. Richard extended an arm around her and held her close. My heart was throbbing wildly. I could not help but get angry at the sight of them together. It should have been my father down there comforting my mother, not that weasel. After a few minutes of sobbing, my mother lightly placed her head on his shoulder, leaning closer to him in the process. Richard gently moved both of his hands around her to hug her, letting her cry into his shoulder. It was a while before she stopped sobbing and sat up again. Richard’s school uniform was drenched at the shoulder from absorbing her tears.

“Everything is going to be okay Aunty May,” He said gently. “I won’t let anything happen to you.”

    She smiled a little.

“I’ll never force you into anything you don’t want to do. You know that right?” he added.

My mother nodded at his words. “Thank you Richie. For everything.”

They chatted about benign things for an hour or so. I sat perched up in the shadows on top of the stairs, cringing in case things heated up. I keep half expecting to hear illicit moans rise up to greet me, but to my surprise, both of them behaved quite amiably.

Richard left late in the afternoon. I had to crawl out the upstairs window and come in through the front door again to fake my return. Appropriately, I feigned ignorance of what just transpired that afternoon. My mother surprised me with a big hug and several loving kisses on my head. It was good to see her in such high spirits. Even my father was pleasantly surprised to see her so happy. It got him rather randy and they both ended the day making love in their bedroom.

As I lay in my bed that night, I was still in disbelief. Does this mean Richard will stay away from my mother from now on? What would he expect from me for helping us out with the loan shark? Why am I both glad and disappointed that nothing further happened between Richard and my mother? Why am I so horny? Is Michael Jackson really dead? What is the meaning of life?

Thus, with a head full of questions, I fell into a deep sleep.

    Chapter #86

I yawned. It was a big yawn which felt like it was stretching out all of my facial muscles. It is the middle of recess period and here I am sitting alone at my desk in the classroom. Ahhhh… I can’t remember the last time I had a little peace and quiet like this.

Without warning, Tracy plopped herself down on my lap. She was hot. I mean that literally. I could feel heat emanating feverishly off of her. My dick hardened to attention from the warmth of her butt. Her medium long hair was slightly disheveled and a deep rosy blush lit across her pretty face.

“What the fuck are you doing?” I hissed at her.

She pouted. “You’ve been ignoring us lately,” She told me.

    “Us?”

“Me, Brandon, Roy, Richard…” She replied, counting her fingers. Then she broke into giggles.

What the fuck? Is she drunk? I can’t smell any alcohol off her though.

Tracy sat upright and then ground her hot little butt against my crotch. “Mmmm… At least your little brother is honest,” she said when she felt the bulge in my pants.

“What do you want Tracy?” I asked desperately. “And get off me before someone sees us!”

    “Richard wants to party.”

    “So?”

    “And you’re invited.”

    “So?”

    “So are you coming?”

I narrowed my eyes at her. “What kind of party?”

She giggled again. Then she leaned towards me so that her lips was brushing my ear. “All I know is I’m losing my anal virginity tonight.”

I stared at her aghast. Jesus Christ on a tricycle, what the hell happened to Tracy? I mean, she wasn’t exactly a saint before this. In fact she was one of the flirtiest girl in class, but ever since that night where I regretfully participated in her drug rape, she’s been off the handle. It’s like all she cares about is sex now.

    “Hey!” someone shouted at us.

I looked up to my side and saw Eunice, my girlfriend, standing before me, a can of chilled coke in hand, glaring daggers at me. I promptly shoved Tracy off of my lap. She staggered aside, catching her footing. Thankfully, I did not injure her.

“Errrr…” I said stupidly at my girlfriend, still searching for the right words to say. ‘This isn’t what it looks like’ sounds a little bit too cliché to be believable.

I got chilled coke splashed in my face in reply. I frantically tried to rub the stinging liquid out of my eyes, succeeding in time to see Eunice storming out of the classroom, followed by a few of her friends. God fucking dammit.

I glared at Tracy in turn who didn’t notice, she was looking at Eunice with a scheming smile smeared across her face.

“Tell Richard to leave me the fuck alone!” I said to her.

    ++++++++++++++

After school, I trudged by my lonesome towards the school gate to wait for the bus. Someone came up from behind and bumped my right shoulder.

“Trouble in paradise?” Alvin Koh asked, referring to the brownish-yellow stains all over my shirt, courtesy of my girlfriend. I had cleaned the cola stains off my shirt the best I could in the restroom, but I can only do so much without the wonders of modern laundering technology.

Another person skirted behind me to my left. It was Joanne Chang, Alvin’s girlfriend. Glancing back, I saw that Nelson Tiong and Adeline Soh was tailing behind me.

“I heard you’ve been messing around with Tracy,” Joanne added. “How could you? You know Eunice hates that slut.”

“Ugh. Is you guys,” I said, groaning for effect. “Don’t you lovebirds have a kissing tree you’re supposed to be in? Leave us mortals to our misery.”

“Not when it involves my best friend,” Joanne stubbornly replied. “So whats up with you and Tracy? And don’t say nothing. Even Alvin who is usually so clueless can sense something is amiss.”

“Hey! I’m right here!” Alvin said jokingly.

    “It’s complicated…” I replied.

Joanne narrowed her doe-like eyes at me. “So are you two involved? You and Tracy I mean.”

    “What?! No! She’s a skank.”

She nodded. “I heard she would do anyone who asks her. They say she already has a sugar daddy outside of school.”

I shrugged. “I wouldn’t be surprised if she had several.”

    Joanne’s eyes widened. “She does???”

    “Oi… I dunno. I’m just saying.”

    “But it could be right?”

Dammit. Now that I’ve added wind to the rumor mill, I had a bad feeling that by tomorrow, the whole school will be gossiping about Tracy being the Prime Minister’s cum dump. Why do I even bother to open my mouth?

Behind me, Nelson and Adeline were chuckling as they watched the exchange.

“Anyway,” Joanne continued. “You need to apologize to Eunice and make up! Do you even know how distraught she is?”

    “But I didn’t do anything!”

“Doesn’t matter man,” said Alvin. “Trust me. Just apologize.”

I guess Alvin was speaking from experience. He and Joanne had been the longest running couple I know in school. They were childhood friends and became an item by 14. Joanne was a vivacious beauty, and quite the chatterbox. She had a sleek athletic physique as she ran with the school track team. Alvin was a little on the skinny side and quite geeky but was one of the top students in class.

“Hey, tell him about tonight.” Nelson hollered.

“O yea,” Joanne said. “We’re going clubbing tonight.”

“Clubbing?” I asked in disbelief. “Aren’t we too young? Do they let 17-year-olds into clubs these days?”

“No worries dude,” Nelson said. “I got a way in.”

“Make sure you come, and bring Eunice too,” Adeline added. “It’s perfect for you two to make up.”

Nelson and Adeline is another power couple in my class. Unlike Alvin and Joanne though, they’ve only been together for several months. They are one of the showy type of couples, a little heavy on the public displays of affection. Sometimes they would make out even in class.

“Yeah, yeah,” I answered. I figured some clubbing experience might come in handy before I get into college. Man, my life really seem to be hitting back to normal again. I could get used to this.

    Chapter #87

It was 9pm and the traffic along the particular stretch of highway was beginning to tone down now that it was past the after-work rush hour. As the commuters drove steadily by, most of them were listening to the DJ rambling on the radio. No one thought anything of the white Nissan Serena with dark tinted windows parked off the road. Inside the van, the voice of the same DJ filled its interior, drowning out the steady rhythm of heavy breathing within.

Nelson Tiong lolled his head back against the headrest of the driver’s seat, his face contorted in ecstasy. “Yeah suck it slut,” he panted.

Tracy was leaning across from the front passenger seat, sucking hungrily on his thick engorged cock. Nelson struggled to fight off his orgasm in the face of her outstanding oral assault. As he struggled to put his mind someplace else, he caught sight of the action happening in the back seat of the van in his rearview mirror.

His girlfriend, Adeline Soh, was sitting between two guys who have their hands all over her. She was locking lips with the one on her left while the one on her right was working his hand up her smooth pale thigh, slipping under the skirt of the purple mini-dress she wore. Her legs parted, flashing her deep red silk panties. Nelson watched with increasing jealousy as the guy’s hands began rubbing her pussy over her panties which was visibly growing wetter by the second.

When he slipped his fingers under her panties, Nelson heard Adeline gasp. This heightened his own arousal. His own balls was felt like they were boiling. Sensing that he was close, Tracy doubled her efforts, making lewd suckling noises as she tried to take his entire cock into her mouth.

“Ahhhhhh! Fuck…” Nelson grunted as he blew his powerful wad into Tracy’s hot welcoming mouth. Tracy could be heard gulping for some time. She never spilled a drop of his semen.

In the back seat, Adeline began writhing with impatience. “Shit, Richard! Hurry! Give it to me," she moaned.

Richard, the one on her right who had been fingering her withdrew his fingers and sat back into his seat. “Sorry babe. Don’t want to ruin my appetite for the main course later. Why don’t you and my friend get acquainted?” He said with a chuckle.

Adeline turned to face the guy on her left who she had been kissing until a while ago. “Let’s see what you’re made of,” she said huskily. Her hands immediately went for his zipper. Nelson watched his girlfriend free the guy’s cock from his pants like an excited girl unwrapping her birthday present. His eyes widened at the monster that sprang free in her face.

    “Omigawd, you’re huge!” Adeline gasped.

He was indeed, Nelson had to admit. The guy was not fully erect yet but his cock was already almost his own size. Nelson felt another pang of jealousy. He was having mixed feelings about all of this, but given the chance, he would definitely walk down this path again.

How could he not? For the first time in his young life, he was having all the sex he could ever want. And it was all thanks to Richard. Barely a couple of months ago, he was just a regular dude with a serious case of blue balls. He had tried to get under his girlfriend’s skirt on more than one occasion, but it would inevitably just lead to heavy petting and making out, never sex. It was clear what the problem was.

“Baby, dun wan, it’s too big,” Adeline would use to say.

Now he watched on as she eagerly mounted the biggest cock she had ever seen. “Ahhh! Ohhh Yessss!” She cried. “Yes Baby! Come on Fuck me!”

Nelson studied the stranger whose cock his girlfriend was impaling herself upon. His expression was blank. In fact as the fucking intensified, he began glancing out of the window a few times, clearly out of boredom.

What the fuck is his problem? Nelson thought. On the one hand he was intensely jealous of him. However on the other hand, he was pissed at his disinterest in his girl. It was downright insulting. He glanced over at Richard in the mirror who met his gaze.

Having noticed his annoyance, Richard said, “Sorry if my friend appears rude. But, how do I put this… He only likes a certain type of ladies.”

“No shit. What kind?” Nelson replied, fuming.

    “Married.”

    Nelson gulped.

“But he’s a fantastic fuck,” Tracy added as she tried to smooth down her sexy green dress. “I can barely walk after he’s done with me."

Nelson glanced up at the rearview mirror again and watched Adeline grind up and down the guy’s cock. He face was a mask of pleasure.

“So,” Richard spoke again, “Are we good to go?”

Nelson nodded, not taking his eyes off his girlfriend’s sexy pert backside, barely covered by her red panties which had been dragged to one side of her crotch. “So… big…” she panted over and over.

“I’m picking them up in half an hour. We’ll be at the club by 10,” He replied.

He then felt something poking into his side. Richard was pushing a plastic packet against him from behind. He received it with one hand, glancing at it briefly before slipping it into his pocket. It was filled with little blue pills. He looked up at the mirror again, watching the full effects of one of the pills play out in the back seat.

“Just stick to the plan bro,” Richard said with a devilish smile.

Nelson felt his cock stiffen up again at his friend’s words. Part of him was boiling over with guilt but below it was a flame of lust. This was like a dream come true.

“But none of my friends are married. What will your friend be doing in the meantime?” Nelson asked.

Richard smiled again and replied. “Oh, don’t you worry about that. There is more than one plan in motion tonight.” He glanced over to his friend who glanced back. “Right Alex?”

    Chapter #88

    Daniel:

“Your hair is a mess dear,” my mother said. She tried smoothing down the spikes on my head which I had spent nearly an hour to get right.

    “Argggh, mummy! You’re ruining it.”

“Don’t like that, you look like a hooligan.”

“Aiyaaaa, it’s the style now laaa.”

“What style? It looks like you just got out of bed. Why don’t you comb your hair like Daddy?”

My father was in the living room watching the news. I glanced at the relic from the age of the Beatles on his head and shuddered with horror. My father gave me a disapproving look in return.

“Where are you going again?” He asked sternly.

“I told you. My friend’s birthday party,” I lied without meeting his eyes.

My mother couldn’t help but smile as she studied my slim cut grey shirt and black jeans. I suspect she knows I am actually going clubbing, but is actually happy about it. She must be worried that I was turning out to be a recluse.

    “Have fun dear,” she said.

My father still had his suspicions. “Where is your friend’s house? Come I fetch you there,” he offered.

Shit, I thought and then said “No need la Daddy. Another friend fetching me.”

I was obviously not very convincing. Well shit, I may be an excellent sneak, but I’m no grifter. Thankfully, my mother had my back. She went to my father’s side and spoke softly into his ear. All I can hear was “together… tonight…”

“My father immediately blushed. “Well, don’t come back too late,” he said to me before turning back to the news on TV.

“O-o-okay,” I replied. Phew, thanks Mummy.

As I pulled on my socks, a horn sounded from outside. Glancing out the window, I saw a silver Toyota Vios in front of our house. There was a commotion coming from upstairs. Moments later, Aunty Joyce hurried down the stairs. Wow…for a moment there time slowed down while my blood flow sped up.

Aunt Joyce was wearing a strapless black short dress. The color contrasted sharply with her milky-white baby-smooth arms and legs. Her long hair which she had often worn in a ponytail was now let down behind her. She had applied some glossy red lipstick and sultry looking eyeliner. In her right hand hung a pair of platformed stiletto shoes.

    Pic of

    Aunty Joyce’s dress

Uncle Kenny was following her down the stairs with a frustrated frown on his face. “Joyce… Wait,” he called after her.

“We’ll talk about it later okay,” Aunt Joyce snapped back at him. My colleagues are waiting.

“But I hardly see you all day. You went out with your colleagues yesterday too.”

Aunty Joyce looked annoyed. “I deserve to have some fun too Kenny,” she said.

    “But…”

    “Enough! I’m late already.”

She bent over to slip into her heels. I was greeted with the lovely sight of her ample white cleavage pushing out against the top of her dress. My father got even luckier. He was sitting behind Aunty Joyce and had a full view of her very short skirt stretching dangerously up against her shapely butt as she bent over. I had no idea if he could see her panties but for a moment, his jaw dropped. Uncle Ken became embarrassed for her and quickly put himself between my father and his wife.

“Oh you’re going out Joyce?” My mother asked. She seemed surprise as well at her sister’s daring outfit.

“Yes Jie. Girl’s night out with a few of my colleagues,” Aunt Joyce replied as she straightened up and headed for the door. “I’ll be back late, so no need wait up for me.”

    “Joyce…” Uncle Kenny pleaded.

But she was already gone, slamming the door behind her in a hurry. Wow… I really pity my uncle.

“Let her unwind Ken,” my mother said quietly. “It’s been a stressful month.”

“Yeah, okay…” He replied, sounding dejected.

Uncle Kenny headed back upstairs. Meanwhile, my mother began to cozy up against my father on the couch. Feeling embarrassed, I stared out of the window but was unable to block out their flirtatious giggles. Dammit Nelson, what’s taking you so damn long?

Innocently, I peeked at the living room out of the corner of my eye. My mother certainly seemed to be in an amorous mood. She was playfully rubbing herself against my father. Daddy, on the other hand was tense in his seat with a deep flush in his cheeks. I guess he was as bewildered as I was that my mother was acting this way.

“Dear… Daniel still here…” I heard my father whisper.

“Mmmm… Okay what. We’re husband and wife,” she replied.

Ish… Thankfully, Nelson arrived in his van a few minutes later so I can give my parents their much needed space.

    Chapter #89

    Daniel

    :

I have a confession. It’s my first time and I already hate clubbing. No seriously. I think its filled with too many people trying to pretend to have fun the caucasian way. The only ones who truly lose themselves in the music anymore are the girls. The guys on the dance floor are just a bunch of horny perverts trying to rub their crotches on some ass. And what’s with the flickering lights? It’s bad enough I can’t hear a thing above the thumping music, now they want to blind me as well?

So here we are, the girls, Adeline, Joanne, and Eunice are huddled together in the booth seat against the wall while Nelson, Alvin, and I took the chairs opposite them. Between us was an iced bucket of beers which came with the table. None of us had ever clubbed before so we just sat there glancing awkwardly at the crowd around us.

“I guess we should try to dance,” I said.

    “Whaaaat?!” Alvin yelled.

    “Dance!”

“With me?” He replied with disbelief.

    I wanted to punch him.

Adeline whispered to Joanne and Eunice in turn, and they both seemed a bit shy and hesitant. Adeline smiled encouragingly and stood up. He motioned at Nelson and pointed towards the dance floor. Nelson dutifully rose and escorted his girlfriend to the dance floor. We all watch them grind and sway against each other to the rhythm of the music.

Adeline wore a purple minidress. Joanne went with an aqua blue one with a flared skirt while Eunice, my girlfriend wore a white sleeveless drape-dress. After gathering some nerve, I rose slowly and extended my hand to Eunice. She shyly accepted it. Alvin and Joanne was right behind us as we entered the dance floor.

All in all, I would say we were all actually too nervous to have any fun. After jerking awkwardly for a while, I decided to stop making a fool of myself and go sit down. Eunice looked relieved when I began to lead her out of the mass of writhing bodies. Alvin too followed my lead with Joanne. I had no idea where in the mob of lousy dancers were Nelson and Adeline. To my relief, I found them back at our table, sipping beers.

    “Having fun?” Nelson yelled.

“Not really,” I shouted back. “I’m a lousy dancer.”

“That makes two of us,” Eunice added grinning at me.

“Three,” said Joanne and “Four,” agreed Alvin.

Nelson laughed and handed me a beer. “That means you’re not drunk enough yet.”

I laughed and said, “What does that have to do with anything?”

Nelson pointed to the dance floor. “See any good dancers there?”

    “Not really.”

“Yeah, but they’re all too high care.”

“Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder huh?” I replied and took a swig.

    Chapter #90

    Daniel:

    LOL. LOL. LOL.

    Huh? OMG. What?

Beat by beat, chord by chord, the music began to ring through my ears once more. What happened? Wow, look at all that colorful blinking lights. LOL. Why do I find it funny? Dunno. Keep feeling like want to laugh. Woooooooow there are so many people here. Look at them flopping around like that. LOL. Looks fun.

“Oi bro!” Someone yelled into my ear from the right.

I turn to face the guy. Wait is it a guy? Yeah it’s definitely a guy. OMG, for a minute there I thought Nelson was a girl. LOL.

    “You okay bro?” He asked.

    “Uhhhhh…”

I looked around and recognized the table. Oh yeah, we’re in the club. Awesoooome. There was another guy to me on the left. He’s sitting hunched over, his head rocking to the beat, his hands clasping a bottle of Heneiken. Oh it’s Alvin. LOL. He looks like he’s about to fall over. LOL. Stupid Alvin.

Hmmm? Where’s the rest? Where’s the girls? I look around. OMG, soooo many people. Eh… Wait… Oh, there they are. The three girls are on the dance floor. Looks like Adeline is trying to teach them how to dance. Wooooo! go girls!

“Oi! Oi! Guys! Pay attention!” Nelson barked.

    “What? Duuuude, chiiiillll.” I replied.

Nelson raised a bottle. Cheers! He said.

I looked down. Sure enough, there was a bottle in my hands. I glanced at Alvin who gave Nelson a stupid grin before raising his bottle to his lips and draining it dry.

“Daniel! Come on! Drink!” Urged Nelson.

    “Haha, after yuuuu…”

He immediately gulped a big mouthful. “Now you!” He said.

I put my lips on the bottle-mouth. Suddenly there was a thump to my left. I stopped and turned to see. Alvin had fallen face first onto the table, his hand was still holding his empty bottle. LOL. Stupid Alvin.

“Shit!” Nelson said loud enough for me to hear over the mesmerizing music.

Man.. This is an awesome track. I should be a DJ when I grow up. Fuck society’s expectations on us youths. I’ll doooo what I waaaant.

“Daniel faster finish your beer leh!” Nelson kept bugging me.

“Dude… What’s the rush?” I said to him. “Whether I finish the beer now or later, there will always be another one available to drink. Dude… Dude… Think about it… When will it end? Have we driven ourselves into a vicious never-ending cycle by immersing in overwhelming abundance? Are we consuming just for consumption sake?”

“What the fuck?” Asked Nelson in reply. “Whatever dude. Bottoms up.”

“Heeeey the girls are back!” I hollered.

Nelson turned around. Sure enough, Adeline and the girls were coming back, laughing giddily among themselves from their little escapade to the dance floor.

I smiled at Adeline as she approached. She seemed surprised. LOL. She looked at Nelson who looks pissed. That guy really needs to learn how to chill.

“Oh my God! Alvin!” Joanne cried. She rushed to her boyfriend’s side. “What happened?”

“These two jokers really can drink. They finished the whole bucket between them. This one here is the next round I ordered,” Nelson explained.

OMG. Really? I could have sworn I only had one… No wait… I lifted my bottle in my hand… I only had half a bottle. Well maybe I did had a few. Who knows? LOL. Awesome.

    “Owwww!” I cried.

Eunice just pinched my arm. What the hell? She looks pissed. Well, that’s all she ever looks lately. What’s her problem? Man… I had no idea she had such perky tits. I can see her cute cleavage in front of her low cut dress.

“Haha, that’s okay,” Adeline said as she took her seat. “We’re here to enjoy ourselves anyway. Let’s go wild. Right girls?”

Eunice sat down beside me. She still looks pissed though. Man… She would look so cute if only she smiled more often.

“Nelson darling,” Adeline spoke up again. “Can you open each of us a beer?”

    “Sure thing,” Nelson replied.

He pulled the bucket of iced beers towards him and fumbled with the bottle opener for a few minutes.

“Dammit. This opener broken already. Wait, I go get the bartender to open.”

Nelson grabbed the bucket and disappeared through the crowd. LOL. I saw that. Nelson didn’t even use the opener correctly. Some more dare said I drunk. I wonder how much he drank.

After a while, Nelson appeared back with the bucket of opened bottles. I took another sip from mine. WOOOOW! Did the colored lights just grow more colorful? And the music… Holy shit, it’s like it’s emanating from within my body. I am one with the music bebeh…. Who knew Heineken makes heaven in a bottle? How are they not ruling the world yet? I lift the bottle to my mouth to chug down the rest of the liquid pleasure.

Except I can’t, because Eunice suddenly yanked it away from me.

    “Enough!” She hissed.

Seriously… This bitch is really getting me down.

“Hey come on, let him drink what,” Adeline said.

“No. He’s had enough,” my girlfriend said coldly.

“Haha,” Nelson butted in with a lame laugh. “Don’t quarrel. Come come, let’s drink together.”

He handed each girl a bottle.

“No thanks, I’ll just finish Daniel’s one,” Eunice said, raising my bottle.

“Aiya, not nice already one la. He open for so long already,” Nelson said. “Freshly opened beer tastes best.”

“I’ll have one,” I said jovially.

“You just finish your one can already lah. Don’t waste,” he replied.

Eunice shrugged and accepted the new bottle from Nelson. She begrudgingly let me have my bottle back.

“Come on, cheers! To friends!” Nelson said raising a new bottle of his own.

“Friends forever!” I chanted and emptied the bottle of beer down my throat.

    LOL. LOL. LOL.
