Love-Hate-Betrayal-Regret

    Chapter #61

One of the quickest and most effective ways to make a guy lose his orgasm was to moan or scream someone else’s name during sex. Except for Ben, it did not work as proven from the previous time Grace had uttered Alex’s name while Ben was deep inside her.

He was busy destressing after the O levels, banging Grace hard from behind as she moaned each time his thighs slapped against her ass.

    B: Hey Grace?

    G: Uhhhh… Ahhh… Yes Ben?

B: I realised you got a little fatter.

Grace bit her bottom lip, partly to prevent herself from spewing multiple vulgarities Ben’s way, and partly to stop herself from moaning. After all, which girl was not conscious about her weight or body.

B: But I like it. Your breasts are bigger and your butt fleshier. Better for doggy.

What happened next, however, was an instant erection killer.

    G: My period’s late.

Either Ben was a complete dumbass or he preferred to ignore her.

He thrusted harder and faster into her.

Sensing no response, Grace decided to be a little more blunt.

G: Ben, I might be pregnant.

Ben felt himself go soft immediately and he slipped out of her pussy.

B: What the fuck! I didn’t get to cum!

He started stroking himself in a vain attempt to release his frustrations.

    Grace turned over.

G: Did you hear what I said?

Ben ignored her and wanked harder. He was so close.

Sensing that he was not going to pay her any attention until he came, Grace bent forward, pushed his hands away and went down on him, sucking him just the way he liked it.

Ben held her head down and deepthroated her causing her to gag slightly. He came within seconds, filling her mouth with his cum. She choked, but swallowed every drop and even cleaned him up.

    She wiped her mouth.

G: Did you hear what I said.

Ben ignored her. He took his towel and went to the toilet.

    G: Ben!

B: What??! Pregnant then abort la! What’s the fucking big deal?

Grace felt the tears rolling down her cheeks.

G: Ben you bastard. How could you do this to me?

Ben grabbed her hair and pulled her up, slapping her across the face.

B: Shut your mouth bitch! You’re the one who wanted to sleep with me and enjoyed all the sex we had. If you get pregnant then abort la! Don’t come crying to me and acting all innocent. You asked for it.

He took her clothes and threw it at her.

B: Get the fuck out of my house.

Grace hurriedly got dressed and left.

B: Don’t fucking come back you slut!

Grace wandered around for awhile before finding a public phone. Inserting a 10 cent coin with trembling hands, she dialled a number. A number once so familiar to her that she had long memorized it.

G: Alex. I’m so sorry. Please meet me at XXX.

She sank to her knees and cried her eyes out once the voice mail was recorded. A crowd had gathered but she did not care.

Now she finally felt the betrayal and hatred that Alex felt when she cheated on him. But was it too late for regrets?

    Chapter #64

J: Aren’t you gonna see who paged?

A: If it is important, they’ll page again.

Alex went back to chomping on his McChicken sandwich.

Jane pondered for a long while before popping the question.

J: Alex, does this mean we’ll never be a couple, no matter how much we both like each other?

Alex nearly choked. He long assumed the topic was over.

A: I’m not good for you. Really. You’ll move on to a reputable JC, get excellent results, and probably end up as a doctor, lawyer or something. Maybe even the wife of a doctor or lawyer or something.

    J: And you?

A: I don’t even know if I can make it to a JC.

J: But your prelims were not bad…

A: Yeah. But will my actual O levels be anywhere near that?

J: Have some faith in yourself.

A: Why do you have so much faith in me?

Jane wanted to say because she loved him and it did not matter what or who he was, she would still want to be with him. But she knew that was something he did not want to hear.

The rest of the meal was spent in silence as Alex finished the remnants of their fries.

After the meal, he headed towards a public telephone to check his voice mail.

His face changed when he heard the message.

    J: What’s wrong?

    A: Nothing.

J: Come on Alex. We’re good friends. I can tell something is wrong.

A: Really nothing. Let’s go. I’ll see you home.

Jane strode up to the public telephone and dialled the number.

    J: Pin?

    A: What?

    J: What’s your pin?

    A: Why?

J: Because you are troubled by something and I wanna know what. Since you don’t wanna tell me, I have to find out for myself.

    A: Nothing is wrong.

    J: Don’t waste my 10 cents.

    A: Fine.

He keyed in the pin and Jane listened to the message.

    J: Alex…

    A: What?

J: I think we should go see her.

    A: Why?

    J: She sounds upset.

    A: So?

    J: Women’s instinct. Come on.

A: She made her choices. I make mine.

    J: Don’t be so petty.

    A: Me? Petty? No…

    J: Oh you’re not?

    A: No.

J: The go to her. She needs you.

    A: Right.

J: The place is quite nearby. Let’s go.

As reluctant as he was, Alex somehow allowed himself to be dragged by Jane to the place. It was a playground in Grace’s estate where they used to make out before he sent her home.

Upon reaching the playground, there was no one there. Alex felt cheated. It was as though Grace had played him out again. He wanted to leave but was stopped by Janes’ s shrill scream.

J: Oh my god! ALEX! UP THERE!

Alex’s eyes followed her finger and lo and behold. Up on the top floor, a pair of legs was dangerously hanging over the parapet.

    A: Shit. Call the police!

He ran towards the lift lobby but found that the lift was under maintenance. Cursing his luck, he ran up the stairs. All 18 floors.

He arrived at the top level like he had just sprinted a marathon.

A: Grace, get off the ledge now!

Grace turned and looked at him. He saw the immense sadness in her eyes. They were red and puffy.

    G: Alex. You came.

A: Yes. Now get off the ledge and we can talk.

    G: Alex. I’m so sorry.

    Chapter #68

Alex looked around and caught sight of the box of a pregnancy test kit. He scanned the surrounding area for the actual kit but could not see it. He wondered how Grace could have taken the test considering she had to pee on it, and unless she went home first, peed on it, the took the whole kit including the box out, she probably had to pee outdoors.

A: Don’t do anything stupid. I’m coming to get you.

G: STAY AWAY! DON’T COME CLOSER!

    A: Don’t be stupid.

Alex inched closer and closer to the ledge. He stood next to her and peered over the top, and immediately reeled back.

A: Woah. We’re really high up.

    G: Go away.

A: You asked me to come.

    G: I didn’t expect you to.

A: Well too late. I’m here. Now get off the ledge.

    G: No.

A: Why are you up there?

Grace looked at him as though he was stupid.

    G: I’m going to jump.

    A: You are? Why?

    G: Ben… he… dumped me.

    A: Why?

    G: Because I’m pregnant.

    A: Are you?

    G: I think so.

A: What do you mean you think so?

    G: No pee.

A: So where’s the test kit?

Grace removed the thermometer looking device from her pocket. Alex took it.

    A: You haven’t used it.

    G: No pee!

Alex took out his water bottle.

A: Here you go. Finish it all. I’m not thirsty.

    Grace stared daggers at him.

A: Don’t you want to know if you’re pregnant? You need to pee right? Here’s some water.

G: Are you making fun of me?

    A: Maybe.

    G: You’re a bastard.

    A: Maybe.

G: I’m really going to jump.

A: Oh by all means, go ahead. But I would suggest doing it after you pee on the stick. Don’t die in vain without knowing if you’re really pregnant or not. And if you wanna jump, wearing red might be a better choice, at least you can come back as a vengeful spirit.

Grace’s tears started flowing non-stop. Alex wondered where he had dug out all that crap from, but he realised that perhaps, he was definitely not suited to be a counsellor or psychiatrist. He would probably have the highest failure rate if that was his chosen career path.

A: Well? You want me to get some red clothes for you? And you still haven’t peed yet.

He peered down and saw that the SCDF had arrived and set up the inflatable thing.

A: Don’t waste my time. Exams are over and I wanna celebrate.

Grace gave him one last cold stare before looking over the ledge again.

G: Alex, you’re gonna regret this all your life.

    Chapter #69

    Alex extended his hand.

A: Come on. You’ve been up there long enough.

    Grace wiped her tears.

G: What if I’m really pregnant?

A: There’s always a solution for every problem.

G: I don’t think Ben will take responsibility.

A: I believe in something called karma.

G: Is this my karma then?

A: Perhaps. It all depends on how you perceive whatever you’ve done. Whether it was wrong or right. I don’t judge. The only person who can and should judge our actions is ourselves.

G: Alex, I’m really sorry for everything.

A: Save your apologies. And get off the fucking ledge.

By now the paramedics and a couple of cops had reached them and Alex motioned for them to stay back. He was rather confident of defusing the situation without casualties.

He extended his hand. Grace took it and he immediately grabbed her, effectively pulling her over the ledge.

She collapsed onto him from sheer exhaustion and so did he. As he cradled her in his arms and stroked her hair, he tried comforting her the best he could.

    A: Everything will be alright.

    Grace sobbed uncontrollably.

The paramedics draped a blanket over her as Alex helped her up and onto the stretcher. She did not let go of his hand, forcing him to follow her down and eventually into the ambulance.

G: Promise you’ll be here for me.

    A: I can’t.

G: I know you no longer love me after all I’ve done to you. But you’re the only one I’ve ever wanted.

Alex felt the rage seething inside him but he kept it down, conscious of what might happen if he spoke his mind. He stroked her hair.

A: What’s done cannot be undone.

G: Give me a chance to make things right. Please. I’m begging you.

    A: I-

G: For old times sake. Please.

Alex very much wanted to forcibly remove her hand from his. But her current mental state was questionable. He glanced around and saw Jane. She had an expressionless look on her face.

G: Say you’ll take care of me. I’ve got no one else.

Paramedic: Can you just man up and take some responsibility?

Alex wanted to punch the guy for interfering without knowing the whole story. He looked at Jane again. She shook her head slowly, as if trying to tell him something. He looked at Grace. She was obviously playing the emotional card. Was he heartless enough to pay her back in her own coin? After all, he had the hottest babe in school waiting for him. Even saving herself just for him. And yet this was his first love, pleading with him, begging him to take her back. What was the right thing that he should do?

A: Let’s get you to the hospital.

He looked at Jane again as the ambulance doors closed. He swore he saw her hurriedly wiping off a tear with the back of her hand. He looked down at Grace.

A: I’ll take care of you.

Grace smiled and closed her eyes. Alex leaned back as she released his hand while the paramedics checked her vitals.

    He closed his eyes.

It had been a tough day. Mentally and physically draining. Part of him wanted to beat the shit out of Ben for what he did, but he was slowly learning that violence hardly solved anything.

But what would happen to Jane?

She really liked him. And he liked her too. But he could not bring himself to be the one that held her back, the one who dragged her down. She was destined for much greater things than he was.

They say love is blind, love knows no boundaries, love will find a way.

Unfortunately for Alex, he was more pragmatic than he was smart.

Maybe one day he would be kicking himself in the ass for his poor decision making skills.

Thankfully, today was not the day.

    Chapter #70

The new year came and went.

Grace, thankfully, was not pregnant, but was issued with a stern warning from the police for her attempted suicide. She was also referred to the Institute of Mental Health to cope with her numerous issues.

As promised, Alex did take care of her. Everyday of his holidays was spent with her, talking to her, cooking for her and generally just trying to cheer her up.

His contact with Jane was minimized. Jane did not like it but what choice did she have?

Alex’s first 3 months was spend in a Junior College that his prelim results could get him into, whereas Jane entered the Junior College of her choice, one of the top 5 in the country.

Alex didn’t really do much studying, preferring to concentrate on sports, and spending time with Grace.

Surprisingly, his O Level results were a far cry from his prelims. Perhaps studying with Jane really helped him. Eventually, he applied for the same Junior College as Jane, for the Arts stream. He did not let her know this, and neither did she ask. He meant to surprise her.

The first day in school, he entered the school gates bright and early. The various CCAs had already set up their booths in order to attract the new intake of students. As expected, a crowd of girls had already gathered around Alex, eager to get to know him, and perhaps con him into joining their CCAs.

But he only had one CCA in mind. Track and field. And that was where he headed to.

The student council booth was next to the track and field booth, but Alex paid no attention to them despite the large crowd that had gathered there as well.

He approached the girl manning the track and field booth.

A: Hi! Where do I sign up?

She passed him a couple of forms and a pen.

Even though she was sitting down, he could tell she was rather tall judging by her extremely long legs that ended in hot pink FBTs. He thought maybe her vest was a little too tight as her chest, at least a C cup, was threatening to spill out, despite being protected by a sports bra.

Girl: Hey, didn’t I see you at the Swift Meet last month? You were running for XXJC.

    A: Yeah. That was me.

Girl: Oh. Got really good results I see. I’m Brenda.

She stood up and extended her hand. She really was damn tall. Alex took it and shook it firmly, partly amazed at how smooth her hand was.

    A: Alex.

B: Well Alex, glad to know you’re with us now. Training starts today if you can make it.

A: What? It’s the first day of school. I need to get settled.

B: Well, it would be good for you to start early. Nationals are in August. And I’ll need to introduce you to the rest of the team.

    A: I see. What’s your event anyway?

    B: Sprints and hurdles.

A: Not long or high jump?

    B: No, why?

A: Oh I was just admiring your long legs. Should be quite good for jumping.

    Brenda felt herself blush.

B: Well, I sprained my wrist during a bad landing. So I don’t jump anymore.

    A: Ah, that’s a waste.

B: Are you flirting with me?

A: Well, that depends on what you define as flirting.

He finished filling up the form and passed it back to her, flashing a megawatt smile.

A: What time does training start today?

    B: 4pm at the track.

    A: See you there.

Brenda sat back down. Her heart was racing. She had never felt like this before. Not even with her boyfriend. Alex exhuded a charm that was beyond belief. She glanced at the application form under the contact details section and to her dismay, he did not have a mobile phone.

She could not wait to see him on the track. Those broad shoulders, toned arms and chest.

She started fantasizing about him shirtless, then pantsless, sprinting in just tights.

A warmth flushed across her entire body and she felt herself getting a little moist down below.

What the hell had Alex done to her?
