Here’s part 34.. This may not be exciting already but it’s my
REAL LIFE STORY

2 days before the ROM date, my gf sms-ed her boss say she wants to take a week off. Her boss of course agreed as she thought she want to rest and do her own preparations for the ROM.
The boss did not confirmed with me whether did she meet me or what. In the meantime, we did chat over the phone and sms during the period as we were both very excited.
We did met for a dinner on last night before we’re officially married and walked along East Coast Park and went home to rest for our big day the next day.
On the ROM day (a weekday), some of my relatives/friends and neighbours and her friends were there. Our ROM scheduled to be at 10am. I couldn’t really sleep the whole night so I was there early, around 9am.
Was told by 11am, if bride and groom are not ready, the things is off. So I sent an sms to my wife-to-be to remind her. But did not get a reply in 10mins and hp off. I thought she forgot to charge her hp.
Was a little anxious. I tried calling her friends who are supposed to help her dress up.. BUT…
They told me they can’t ctc her and she is no where to be seen.
I thought she may have overslept due to she can’t sleep last night. So I called my neighbour whom she stayed in. But they say she’s not in when they left around 9.10am.
At that time at 10am or so, I broke down in tears.
I didn’t know what to do. I sat down on the chair weeping. My relatives and friends who drives, quickly get into their cars and drive around the area, hoping to get to find her.
Some of her friends or those china people (stall owners, shop helpers or neighbours in the estate) even went to Geylang, Chinatown, Joo Chiat and other places to search hoping to get a glimpse of her. But all don’t even have a sight of her.
Suddenly, a call from her lady boss. She said that she received an call from her that she’s leaving S’pore soon. She requested to cancel her work permit. She leaving soon. (I suspected she was at airport already.)
I immediately called those on the road, all to head to airport. Just nice got 5 cars on the road. All rush to different terminals of Changi airport and take note of those flights going to China (don’t care what cities).
At that time, my family was with me, consoling me. Photographers whom are my friends all called those photographers to help to spot if they see any signs of her.
I told all of them, forget the search. She have left already, definitely. I knew she used the departure terminal free telephone to call as her boss said her surroundings are rather “quiet”.
All of them said they can continue searching. I said forget it. I’m just not fated to get married. Instead, I told them, I should be happy. She left me before papers are signed.
This means I’m still SINGLE and NOT MARRIED!

Part 35..
Aft that, we ate the buffet as lunch. Since ordered and paid already, so might as well eat. About 90% of those invited came back to gave me moral support.
Those that didn’t came back is due to them reporting back for work. So I also don’t really bother.
That night, I went home, sad and disappointed. Strangely, I didn’t had the feeling of ending my life. To me this was a major setback and I took it as a “emotional test”.
But within mins, my neighbour rushed to my place with a letter that the china girl (at this time don’t know how to address her) wrote. She left it on the dining table of my neighbour’s.
It mentioned that she went back as she thought through, if she pregnant in S’pore, she may get sent back. So she’s going back for abortion. She also did asked the lady boss not to cancel her work permit 1st.
She will be back in about 2mths time aft she rest. She promised she won’t skip town and said if I really love her, I will wait for her.
She apologized to me and said, she’s left with no choice now. She also left her QQ a/c number and asked me to ctc her. She said when she comes back, she will give me an explanation for runaway bride incident.
So I quickly log in to my QQ n added her as friend. She was online. So I tried not to be agitated and wanted to hear why she did that w/o letting me know.
Instead, I wasn’t angry. I was just shocked and traumatized by what happened in a week.
After she chatted, I told her that let’s put down our relationship for now. Don’t know how the people in our neighborhood are going to look at us. She agreed also.
I said, why not wait till she return to S’pore 2 mths later then say. She said ok.
On the other hand, her boss also damn kind. Never cancel her work permit. Just say no work = no pay.

Very irresponsible of her to request for ROM and then MIA on actual day. Wasting everyone time, effort and money.
She has plenty of time to discuss the situation and find a solution.

Ok.. This is the
LAST 2nd
part to my story.
Time flies.. 2 months down the road, after her abortion, she’s back to settle her things. But by then, I lost feelings for her already. To me, she’s at most just another friend.
I told the lady boss, when she’s at the salon, let me know. I want to speak to her face-to-face. The lady boss also going to terminate her work permit. She said she got enough of her, disappeared without a trace.
I told her we can continue to be pen pals but don’t think we can be couples any longer. I already prepared SGD$1000 as compensation and abortion fees. She at first, rejected taking it, saying it’s her fault.
I told her to take it as I said I will take responsibility to the child. So she accepted it in the end.
After her work permit cancelled, she still have 8-10 days in S’pore as social visit pass. She asked me whether can I be her personal tour guide? For old time sake, I agreed on 2 days to bring her around.
The rest of the days, she’s gonna meet her friends who are from China and prepare to pack her things (my neighbour did not rent out her room for the 2 months).

So the 2 days I promised her arrived. Working as a tour guide, I treat those “tourists” all the same. No special treatment. So I brought her to various places in S’pore to show her around and introduce the history of Singapore.
When I brought her to Mt Faber on an evening, she asked me to sit down and accompany her. I obliged.
She asked me, “do you rmb the times we had together? the “fun” we had?”
I replied, “yes. of course I remembered. but don’t dig up the past already. those are history already.”
She said, “hmm.. do you want to have that feeling again? we can do it again one of these few days.”
I said, “actually 2 months ago, at ROM, such sweet memories are deep in my heart. now i want to try it but i don’t have the heart to do it anymore.”
She said, “let me try to help you. let’s find a hotel room to check-in ok? since you be my tour guide, take it as i repay you by doing a BJ/HJ lah.”
I said, “there’s a fragrance hotel near Vivo, let’s go there.”
She said, “ok. but FJ I leave it till last.”
