I wanted to take a break after I had recently completed my story, “Love is also a 4-letter word” but 1 or 2 brothers have requested me for another story.
So, I have put on my thinking cap and come up with another story.
Hope that you guys will not be disappointed with my effort.

Simon had just completed his compulsory conscription in the military which all able-bodied male Singapore citizens were required to do and was awaiting admission into an engineering course in the local university. In the past, during the holidays, he had often stayed in his aunt’s shophouse in Ang Mo Kio.
He recalled the happy childhood memories of his sojourns there, playing with his cousins- a girl, Jenny who was 3 years younger and a boy, Christopher who was 2 year younger. They had enjoyed many movies together at the neighbourhood theatres and hung around in the cyber cafes, playing computer games. It had been a carefree time for them.
Simon’s aunt Susan, his mother’s younger sister in her late thirties, was a jovial hair salon owner. She had married young and was a hairdresser before she married a businessman who had been a regular patron of hers. Auntie Susan was larger-than-life, buxom in size and loved to crack jokes and laughed heartily.
Auntie Susan would sometimes ask him to run errands for her and reward Simon with some money for his daily expenses. That was an additional incentive for him to spend his time with his auntie Susan, and cousins Christopher and Jenny.
One sunny Saturday morning, he set off from home to visit his aunt and spend a couple of weeks there. Simon received a warm welcome from his aunt and cousins who were delighted to see him after such a long time.
After unpacking his clothing into the cupboard in Christopher’s room, he went downstairs to look around. Simon’s eyes took in the sights and he noticed that the salon had been newly renovated. It was spanking new and looked so much brighter and spacious than before. Not only were the chairs and equipment new, the entire staff was new too. The old middle-aged hairdressers had been replaced by a younger team, all 3 of them.
Auntie Susan spotted Simon looking intently around the premises and waved him over. She introduced the staff, one by one to him. Two of them were Malaysians and the other, a Singaporean- all three of them in their twenties. Coco, the Malaysian from Ipoh appeared to be the youngest, the age of which Simon estimated at 21, looking not much older than him. May, the other Malaysian from Johore Bahru and Emily, the Singaporean seemed to be in their mid to late twenties.
Simon sized them up. Coco, sweet looking and fresh faced, was slim and tallest of the lot, almost a boyish figure. May had more of an hour-glass figure, her prized assets being her prominent breasts which to Simon’s inexperienced eyes, were probably about 36C. Emily was the most plump of the 3 but she had the best facial features, with big sparking eyes.

As the days went by, Simon who was very observant by nature, noted the personalities and clientele of the three. Coco was a little bit childish as she was young and somewhat introverted in personality and the younger clients liked her. May was the talkative, bubbly type who liked to joke and horse around. With her “Amy Yip” breasts, it was no wonder that she was the most popular with the men. Emily was the most matured and seemed to be the motherly sort and middle aged ladies often opted for her.
Simon was of average height, slender with a mischievous boyish face, the kind that girls considered as cute. He was artistic, his favourite subject being art at school and he loved drawing and painting in his spare time. In the past, he had done sketches of his auntie Susan and cousins Christopher and Jenny when he had stayed with them.
Well, now Simon had found new models in “Charlie’s Angels” as he nicknamed the three hairdressers. Of course, he wished that he was Charlie who would have control over them. So far, his relationship with all of them was good and no particular girl stood out as yet. Each of them were friendly to him and attractive in her own way.
Besides being artistic, Simon had a vivid imagination. He often fantasized. As he sketched them whenever he was free, Simon day-dreamed and mused over his so-called dilemma: which of the 3 would he choose?
